Sorry, I was wrong. I pulled the 642 CT out of the box and the CT laser grips have the S&W logo on the grips. They look like the 305's.

I just picked up my first revolver. Found a used S&W 642 CT with Crimson Trace Laser Grips for $449 at Gander Mountain. Anyone have any experience with these? What are your thoughts and opinions about the 642? It's DA only with a heavy trigger pull. It is in dire need of a trigger job.

Went back to check out the Savage 110 .270 and noticed a slight bulge at the end of the barrel. The crown is pretty rough too. Would probably have to have the barrel cut and recrowned. Not looking like such a good deal anymore.
