Wolf or Brown Bear .223 ammo?

I would get which ever one still uses lacquer. Those rounds don't rust like the new polymer rounds or corrode like silver bear in humid areas. I would go with brown bear if I was buying more .223.

    M1A Mag Conversion Rem700

I have heard about it too but it wasn't cheap. It seems like a better option is the badger m5 bottom metal.

    Discolored Winchester White Box .308

I have bought Winchester ammo with the same "problem". It shot fine so I wouldn't worry about it. It is just a little tarnishing on the brass.

    PPU 5.56 xm193

Prvi makes pretty good ammo. It the box says m193 it is probably up to or very close to the specs. But should you choose to handload it you might have to get rid of the crimp on the primer.

Badger Ordnance Trigger Guard and Detachable Magazine Assembly

What makes that cost $400? It is good I know but there isn't much to it and it requires a little gunsmithing to install.

Is steel cased ammo safe to use in a bolt action?

Shoot the silver bear it works fine in my guns. No signs of excess wear either. And about the whole lacquer melts idea, why is it always brought up. To anyone that is interested, try and get the lacquer to melt. Use a gas stove, a lighter, anything hot...if you get it to melt I would like to...

    Bushmaster AR-15

If this thing comes with the Aimpoint and you haven't bought it yet something is wrong with you. Even if you bought it and decided you hated the paint it will come off. If it doesn't come with the Aimpoint you may want to keep looking, however you will have a hard time finding a deal right now.

    There is no ammo shortage!

The gander mountain near me always has ammo, just not the right price. I don't mean to say that the prices are just a few dollars more, I mean $42.99 for a box of .308 rem core-lokt or $38.99 for .30-30 core-lokt. The prices are outrageous. It's amazing they haven't run out of business.

Is steel cased ammo safe to use in a bolt action?

Steel cases aren't very hard on the chamber and extractor. There are people on here that have shot thousands of rounds or steel case ammo in ar's with no problems. I believe mgshaggy is a member here who has shot a lot of wolf through m16's and the like. In any event, don't worry about steel...

    Price on Rock River AR

Doubt it. Just because DD is making a rifle now doesn't mean that RRA will lose much, if any business. There are so many makers of AR's that one more isn't going to change a thing.

Whats the best lie you had a gun seller tell you

Remington did make some Mosins. Did you see the gun? She may have confused the gun for a 91/30. Could have been a great deal for you if she did.

    Bolt hard to close

Alright, so let the die contact the shell holder then screw it in another 1/8 or 1/4 turn... That should fix it. I know that all of my cases are trimmed to the right length and that the bullet is not too deep so we can rule those out. If I have any problems next time I load some up I will...

    Bolt hard to close

On some of my .308 win reloads the bolt is hard to close. Then on others from the same "lot" of loads it will close very easily. I am using an RCBS full length sizing die and have it screwed in until the the bottom touches the shell holder. All of the cases were trimmed and and all bullets were...

    The scare...

It isn't over yet, but I don't know why. I have seen more AR's and AR parts at gunshows than ever. I saw a few less AK's than normal but they were still there. The mark up was ridiculous and no one bought them so I am not sure what the problem is.

Scary barrel blow up video..question for hunters and combat personnel...

So you aren't lazy becaues you only use it during certain events, right? I guess I am lazy because I use my sling at different times than you. Next time you have a joke to tell like the one above use one of these,;):D:).

    DPMS in 7.62x39mm

The benefit of a folding stock is that the gun can be shorter if you want it to be. If you want an AK with a fixed stock, look at a Yugo m70 ab1, some guns from arsenal, or a WASR 10. Should you chose to go with a WASR based on cost, make sure the one you are getting doesn't have a canted...

    Introducing: The AR-15 Shotgun!?!?!

I usually prefer AR's to AK's, but it doesn't seem worth having a shotgun set up like that in .410. I would much rather have a Saiga in 20ga or 12ga. I wonder how well it will cycle with the gas tube placement.

What 1 gun would you keep?

Probably my AR. It is not really the best at anything, but it is alright at most things I would use it for. As far as hunting goes...I guess I would have to place my shots very carefully.

    DPMS in 7.62x39mm

If you want to get an AK I would say the opposite of c5. I do not like the under folders because the stock isn't very solid. You can wiggle it even when it is locked in the extended position. Some side folders are nice, but the ones with wire stocks aren't if you want to get any sort of cheek weld.

    Cheap rifle ammo...

7.62x54r is pretty cheap too. Usually under $.20 a round. I would not look at cheaper than dirt for prices. Try AIMsurplus, wideners, and dansammo. I have dealt with the three and they have fair prices and pretty quick shipping. Of course, there will be a longer shipping time now because of the...
