I held off thumb hole stocks for a long time, not thinking I'd like them, but after getting one, I changed my mind. I REALLY like thumb hole stocks. You wont be disappointed.

You have a really nice looking/shooting rifle. I have yet to see a regular mil rifle go for anywhere near 2 to 2.5 K. I believe that it is your rifle, do whatever the hell YOU want to. I started off with a great Swede and, for ME, made it better.

Went to a gun show here yesterday. For a case of 1000 .223 they wanted $1200, an M&P-15 $2995, an Century underfolder $995, and an M1A was $4495. I managed a 50 cal ammo can for $12. I knew it would be crazy, but that was ridiculous.

Did you read the OPs post? He wants to keep the PRICE down. He doesn't want the top of the line upper. PSA always gets good feed back on their products and customer service.

I only have experience with the Leupold VXIII, but I've been real happy with both. One is on an AK and the other is on a .458 Win Mag, and they have always held zero.

CZ vz-58 best all around rifle in this class.

I like my Mini, mainly because it is some what of a M-14, but my AKs will shoot circles around the mini and shoot any type of ammo I put in them. However, if it were me, I would trade the Mini-14 for a VZ-58/VZ-2008, which is by far the best of the bunch.

On any small item, the shipping is usually more expensive than what you are buying. But, what choice do you have? I just had to buy a small belt for an orbital sander. The belt cost $2.50 shipped in an envelope for $8.00. Pay it or toss the sander. Like it? NO, but I want to use my sander.
