    Tim Ralston's "Crovel" Tool

Arfin Greebly says: Please show me where I said anything negative-- or anything at all, for that matter-- about the quality of the tool? Or how I tried to link the tool to his reckless handling of guns? I did not. I simply objected to giving him any of my money. Yes, he made a mistake...

    Tim Ralston's "Crovel" Tool

This is the guy who blew his thumb off on Doomsday Preppers. He put his thumb in front of the muzzle of his 10/22-- while shooting with his kids, no less-- and tried to attribute it to a misfire or something. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving him any of my money. He gives a...

    Funny preference.

It's odd. But my preference in handgun finishes are stainless steel for revolvers and blued/tactical for semis. Actually, when it comes to semis, I just don't like SS or anything satin. And I love SS in revolvers, even SAA styles. Does anyone else have the same preference?

unusual front sight on 586 no dash

My 6" 586 came factory with the patridge sight. I purchased mine new in either 84 or 85, when I was around 15 or 16. :D

how many rounds have you fired from a pistol grippped shotgun?

2 things about pistol-grip shotguns: 1. I just don't care for them, for whatever reason. 2. Perhaps the only time I ever fired one-- and this is NOT the reason I don't like them-- was with a friend's semi-auto Mossberg. I fired a 3" magnum with one hand and the gun turned completely...

Good 9mm handgun that can "do it all"?

Another vote for the CZ P-01. Fantastic pistol. It's got a hammer decocker, too, in addition to a standard trigger safety.

Best survival knife for under $200???

For under $200 the names I would be starting with for a great all around field knife are: RAT Cutlery, Fallkniven, Bark River.

You can only own ONE 9mm handgun.

CZ P-01 One in each hand!

    Do you ever notice.........?

Settle down Rags. I had an 'attitude' because SCKimberFan was not being friendly. I think it's absurd that I should have to buy a stupid scale to find out how much a loaded handgun weighs. It's not rocket science. Load mag with something-- probably the ever popular round nose...

    Do you ever notice.........?

Oh ok, I'll go find a scale. Where should I look? In my backyard? My neighbor's house, next time I go over? Oh, I know, maybe the deli scale at the local supermarket. Yeah, they'll get a kick out of that. Where exactly am I supposed to "find" that kind of scale?

    Do you ever notice.........?

I don't buy it. So let's use the .45acp as an example. When it comes to handguns, the USP is perhaps the greatest weight differential between varying loads one might have in a handgun, with the difference in weight grains per bullet and the number of bullets in the magazine (10 or 12 for a H&K...

    Do you ever notice.........?

Okay, imagine Andy Rooney's voice for the following rant: "Do you ever notice that when you're looking for the weights of handguns online, all you can find are the empty weights? Why do I want to know what the weight of an empty firearm is? Do people go hunting with unloaded guns? "Do...

    Help me pick a Rem870

What are you talking about?? All I said is that a) one shotgun is built better than another shotgun-- which is true. AND b) there are a lot of threads of people reporting problems with the inferior model of shotgun-- which is also true. And quite frankly, a satisfaction rate of "over...

    Help me pick a Rem870

King Ghidora, No, I didn't read those threads (about the Express problems). I saw plenty of them on here and TFL. So I told the OP that there "seems" to be a lot of threads on here about Express problems. Is this true or untrue? I also noted that the Police is a better made firearm...

    Help me pick a Rem870

.cheese. Yes, the 24421 has a 3" chamber. You can fire 2.75" or 3" shells in them. Go with the 24221 and don't look back. You'll pay a couple hundred dollars more but you get what you pay for.

    Help me pick a Rem870

Go with the 870 Police. The Express is simply not made as well. It seems like there have been a lot of threads here lately on Express problems (rust, jams). Go with build 24421 (synthetic, rifle sights) with the two shot extension. Get a Tac Star side saddle that holds an extra 6 shells...
