Yep, I used to live there.... Its not safe anywhere in the city. Especially since any idiot can be within 10-30 minutes of the border. If I was in El Paso I would definitely carry EVERYWHERE I could.

As owner of several properties, I can put ALL sorts of restrictions on you. But once you're in, its VERY difficult to get you out. As long as your son/daughter is safe with then there should be no issues.
Now the downside, the reason they are putting that on the lease is that they want to...
Small rifle round in a pistol. GIANT magazine capacity and the ability to throw things WAY out there (rifle round remember).
Follow up shots are a cinch and its not bad looking to me.
The downsides for me....
-Its kinda expensive to own and to purchase.
-Its a double stack and I have...
small rifle round in a pistol. I like them! BUT being in California negates the 20 round magazine.... :(
So its a expensive alternative. For me I got a CZ-52 with some upgraded loads and upgraded internals.

The only thing I can see going up is if the copper metal gets more expensive. They'd buy the copper melt it down and resell the components....
Otherwise I don't think there are too many countires that use the 7.62x54r round much.... Just a WAY too big round to be much use....

Returning from one of my last military deployments, I got nailed at the airport in Philadelphia ... the helmet bag I was using as a carry-on (that'd been given to me by an EOD buddy) didn't make it past a sniffer ... trace of explosives residue ... I was in uniform w/active duty...
G23, G26, G27.
I carry a Sig P225 (have two now) and a compact 1911. The 1911 is quite a handfull to shoot straight after the first shot, the P225 is a tack pusher!

I worked on recoilless guns (90/105/120/155 and 16") systems for a while. Small guns just aren't big enought to use gas operated recoilless systems. You'd probably have better luck using some sort of spring/damper combination.
The hardest part out of all of this is that recoilless systems...
Mosin Nagant! M44 with a few extra rounds. Powerful, cheap and easy to get. If you want really long range go get a 91/30, 400-600 yard ranges are easy. If you are ambitious you can set the sights to 2000m!
good luck

REgolith, we've also shot down satellites with lasers before and have also done hunter-killer satellites. Its just another tool in the box for us.

SIP walls with a light steel or AL plate. The door as mentioned with paino hinge and several thicks locks with steel around the frame will do just fine. Trying to kick it down will only frustrate them.
good luck

I've been wanting to get one, and I've heard/read that a Glock #4 trigger spring fixes the stiff trigger. Anyways let see some picks and some range reports!

Yep, just because its old doesn't mean the engineering behind it is crap. They did good work with what they had. Plus after a few projects i've been on... i'd never underestimate anything the Russians put forth. You come up with some suprisingly good things when the political party has a gun...
