Who has one?
What's good?
What's bad?
Does it compare to anything else out there?

Ok, good for Coop ... does anyone have experience with this Autoloader?

A friend who shot one said it was pretty much fun. I think the ammo is still sort of expensive, and I don't know anything about reloading it.

The biggest drawback I know is that it seems to pull all the Caliber Whiners into any thread on THR. :)

I've HEARD that you can't get the 'real' AP ammo for it... so that=bad.

It holds 20 rounds=good.

It's ugly, IMO=bad.

Don't own one, though, so my opinion is of little value. :)

I own two, I love them both. Light, near zero recoil, decent sights, and I'm accurate enough with it to be quite pleased with myself.

I have one and it is by far one of the most intresting guns I have ever owned. I bought it more as a novelty at the time just to say I had one. Now that I have had it for a while and thrown a lot of rounds downrange I find it a keeper. The ammo is a bit costly but the 5.7x28 round really shines if you reload in both cost and preformance.

I've got one and like it. Decided to get it just to have something a bit different and something I hoped would be fun to shoot. Light recoil, accurate, reliable, and definitely fun.

Where are you guys finding reloading data for it? I was trying to find some, just to get a sense of the ballistics of this round, and haven't found anything online at Alliant, Accurate, or Hodgden.

Try Hornady. They make the only bullets you might buy to reload for it as far as I know.

DougDubya H20 Man - yours has a pretty picture at the top, so we'll keep it.

I think it's a nice looking pistol, and the round is just below 9mm Parabellum handguns or .22 Magnum rifles in exterior physics (muzzle energy).

Thanks DD - the picture just got a little better :)

My first thought when I saw this was that somebody took a Grendel P30 and gave it steroids. I'm very excited about this gun though I don't yet own one. It seems like a great trail gun, light, handy, great for small game.

If I know I'm going into a gun fight (I get up to sounds of breaking glass and strange footsteps in my house) it's certainly NOT going to replace my USP .45 Compact. That said I think it'd be a great gun that would be loads of fun to shoot. Like H2O Man I'd really like to find one to try out.

just for the record they have their own forum (fivesevenforum.com) and they have a lot of reloading data over there. i know they reload up to 55 gr. .224. don't know about heavier. but i love mine. light, no recoil to speak of, lotsa capacity, great varmint gun. thinkin of gettin an ar upper in 5.7x28 myself

and it punches bigger holes in stuff than you would think. we shot an old electrical disconnect box and it was leaving holes i could drop a .40 s&w thru!

small rifle round in a pistol. I like them! BUT being in California negates the 20 round magazine.... :(

So its a expensive alternative. For me I got a CZ-52 with some upgraded loads and upgraded internals.
good luck

I understand night sites will be available later this year... any idea what the cost will be?

I've had one for about a year, I like shooting it, its very light and handles really well, extremely accurate. Ammo is a little pricey, but I also frequently shoot .500, .50AE and 460, so its not that bad. I think its a well designed pistol
