    Drop Turning Targets

Our shooters use a homemade turner also. They used a piece of wrought iron railing, set it to the height they needed, drilled a hole in it. They pin it to a popper. Popper goes down, pulls attached cordage, turner turns, I miss it.

    deer rifle question

Now, try not to laugh....... After a day of hunting in the cold Michigan north, is it better to bring your rifle inside the warm cabin at night, or leave it locked in the truck so in the morining, it's the same temperature as the hunting environment the next day? I guess I'm thinking about...

Concealed laws while drive through different states

Thanks for the help. I will be taking I-65 and am not going through Illinois. Seems easy to check the laws in other states, but surprisingly, a bit difficult to find statutes on "peaceable journey" laws. I dont foresee any problems and doing my best to check this out. I appreciate your...

Concealed laws while drive through different states

I will be driving from Michigan to Texas in early January. All the states I will be passing through honor my Michigan permit. I was taught in my class to query the Attorney General's offices for any up-to-date changes in their carry laws before passing through a different state. In your...

    The Definitive <gun> Movie/TV Show

What gun did Steven Segal use in Dark Territory? I always liked the way he walked with his guns and kept them ready to shoot the BG (even when going over plans for their next move with the good guy in the middle of a shootout. )

Ever had to pull your weapon?

WOW! You folks sure do live "The High Road" here. Amazing how your situations scare the bejeezes outta me. Yet, to me, this is what it's all about: Having the skill, the judgement, the sense of responsibility, and the courage to carry a weapon. I am in awe of your skills, judgements...

Ever had to pull your weapon?

Tried several attempts to find that thread. I thought I read it before somewhere here, but failed miserably to find it. I remember it being a great read. Heck, I go on so many different gun forums that I can't see the bullets for the guns! If someone could (in their VERY VERY spare time)...

Ever had to pull your weapon?

Been wanting to post this here for some time. Our CPL paperwork is in "other hands" now and hopefully we will hear something by late December or early January. But, for my son and me, the training continues. So, have you ever had to pull your weapon in a situation? Thanks. Michael

Wow! Great replies! I really appreciate your time on my behalf. Read Larry's site about role playing. Sure hope we are offered something close to that in our class (It's Saturday, December 1.) Been reading for weeks about the legal issues (posted on the Internet from sites like this one...

    bersa .380 range trip report

Nice report, MJRW! Looking forward to my purchase of a Bersa Thunder 9mm in December. Thanks again for the nice report! Tell me, though, is there anything I should do to a new gun before shooting it? I mean is there any place to add a dab of oil or run a piece of emery cloth? Kinda new to...

    Walther PPK .380ACP DA/SS info

Yep, Mad Magyer, that photo looks like I held the other day. Tried some suggestions this morning. The Taurus Millineum and the SigSauer226. Still don't seem to fit my hand as well as the Walther, but that could change and could grow on me. Like that Bianchi holster set up too. Whatever I...
