Polish WBP Jack AK47 - where does it fit in quality wise

Might have a line on a NIB Polish WBP Jack in 7.62x39, but am unfamiliar where it falls in the AK quality positioning. I only have a WASR at the moment and a couple of SKS and want to add another AK variant to the collection. Asking price is $1,000 NIB and I see them for about the same on...

Good use for CFE 223 Powder

I use CFE223 exclusively in my AR10 with 168 gr HPBT. Meters great and shoots well out of my 18” barrel. Did have to click the gas block back 1 click to slow down the cycle rate. Havent tried it in . 223 as I’m beyond happy with H335.

    Primer anvils??

Oof, remaking primers isn’t something that I’ve considered in the past but man, with primer prices and availability, I may need to start researching it.

Haven’t tried V.V. Yet in my 6.5 CM as IMR 4350 is doing great with 140 gr Hornady SST’s. Gonna try Varget next and will keep an eye on this thread for possible V.V. suggestions

WTK: Lee 10mm Bulge buster Die

Get the Lee .40 cal bulge buster and don’t look back. I’ve used it in the past with good results. But lately the 10MM I have found didn’t require the bulge buster, just a standard sizing die.

    10mm 180gr xtp load question

I still see plenty of AA9 on the shelves out here, along with BE-86. If you can get your hands on either one of them, give it a try.

    358 Winchester 444 marlin or 45/70?

A guy I know has a 1979 produced Marlin .444 for sale at $1150 and if I didn’t already have 2 45-70’s (Marlin and a Henry) I’d buy it from him.

    How Cheap Can It Be?

Meanwhile I’m over here spending hours prepping 2K of .223 brass, paying $83 per K in primers, $225 for 8 lbs of powder and close to $200 for 2K of 55 gr bullets. It’s really coming down to time and effort for me, especially on reloading in bulk. After this batch I think I’ll start paying the...

Where can I look for primers?

I bit the bullet and paid $83 per 1K of CCI Small Rifle Magnum Primers today from a gun shop about an hour away. Picked up 2K. Haven’t seen them around for quite some time and I was down to my last 1K of $29 per from a few years ago. Thanks Howland937 for alerting me on their availability...
