Very unsafe 1911 usage! (R/C helicopter)

Definitely awesome, definitely real. Remember that airsoft BBs are lightweight and plastic and would never kick up that much debris.

Viggo Mortensen and his (eight-gauge) shotgun in 'Appaloosa'

Well its been decided that the 8 gauge exists, but if you want more information on the movie, here is a review I wrote over at the website I work for. In short - I really enjoyed it, there are lots of very pretty guns too! Film School Rejects - Review: Appaloosa For us lucky cowpokes...

    Uberti 1866 - Clunky Lever

I just got my Uberti 1866 the other day and took it apart for cleaning/strengthening the loading gate. It was a bit of a hassle! Now its back together, minus the loading gate which has the JB Weld drying on it. I worked the lever and everything seems to be moving in the right direction...

    Stuck Screw

update I got it moving a bit, but now it seems to be stuck at the threads in the hole that goes through the lever. This is the screw from hell.

    Stuck Screw

Hey guys, I'm taking my 1866 down for a cleaning (first time) and the lever screw is stuck. It turned to the point where the opposing side plate came off, but now it just turns in place. It looks as though the threads on the screw aren't catching the grooves on the frame. What can I do...

    Henry Warning!!!!-

The Henry is NOT safe to carry with a round chambered. None of the Cowboy style rifles are, because almost all of them lack a physical safety, so the hammer sits on the bolt, which has the firing pin resting on the live round. The Rossi 92's have a safety, but if the safety is disengaged, its...

Maybe the mortality rate is higher in places with more guns because good people are shooting, and hitting, bad people.

Me Versus Rebecca Peters on Arab TV

I noticed the Interviewer never interrupted Peters, but interrupted you about 70% of the time you were saying something.

Me Versus Rebecca Peters on Arab TV

You did a good job. I almost lost my _________ and started letting loose the explatives when Peters talked. Also, what is an Australian doing getting involved in our politics? HighRoadHighRoadHighRoad. Stay High Road. Hard to do!

    Do You Under-Load Your Magazines?

California underloads them for me, considering my 15round Beretta Mag has a chunk of plastic on the bottom that limits it to 10rounds.:fire:

    Will Obama's speech mean...

It has to be before the end of June, as the session ends. But theoretically it could be tomorrow, if they made a decision. April/May - Possible, likelihood: 25% June - Probably, likelihood 75%

    First New gun YOU bought?

First gun I ever bought myself was a 9mm Beretta 92FS. I just love that gun. Second gun I ever bought, and first rifle, was a .38Spcl Uberti 1866 Yellow Boy Lever Action Rifle.

You thought ammo is expensive now?

They should buy the note for significantly less and put it in a museum or something. I'm not sure of the legality, I just know that I'm not exactly certain that it's ok with me for them to have sit on it for years and years and years. Then again, a promissory note is a promissory note.

    Uberti 1866 Question/Poll-ish

Must be the top finish is scratched. The wood itself seems untouched, but there is some white-ish scuffing and that doesn't look wood like at all, so it must be the top finish. It's not bad, just disappointing that its there. If I had scuffed it myself, I wouldn't mind. But thanks for the...

    Marlin 1894C

I just bought an Uberti 1866 that had some minor damage to the wood in 2 places. It just sucks when you get something that should be brand new and shiny and its not. My fit is good, just minor abrasions, so I'm not taking it back or exchanging it (turn around would be forever). I will learn...

    Sharps 45/70

It could be a Converted Sharps. So technically it could have been an 1850s era Sharps that survived to 1873, at which year they were converted to catridge en masse. I would say look for any markings you can. While it may not have a serial number (if it does, its probably more recent, and a...

    Uberti 1866 Question/Poll-ish

Well I picked up my 1866 today!:what: My supplies to clean her up right and open her without damaging the screws are still on the way. A peak told me that there was, at the very least, some dust in the barrel, so it does need at least a swab through, so I didn't take it out yet. Was a...
