    Moving to Atlanta

IMO, it's kind of stupid to form an opinion on an entire county based on one set of neighbors. On the other hand, I despise ATL and everywhere within 30 miles. Traffic is a nightmare and there are just way too many people. But, I'd take ATL over NJ any day of the week!

Cost of shipping one Box of Ammo?

I was quoted $14 to ship 7 boxes of .40...you guys are getting ripped somewhere. Also, never buy mailer boxes at those UPS stores...that's their biggest money makes!

    Handgun Ammo Shortage?

It is harder to find in TN and N. AL, but Wal-marts are still getting shipments. I have been finding Blazer Brass and Federal quite easily. You can always order in bulk online for roughly the same price.

What ammo does your .22lr conversion in AR15 like?

I've had the best results from the Federal Bulk from WM. It has been 100% reliable and I'll take that over more exacting accuracy when just plinking.

Dick's wouldn't let me cycle the action of the Mossberg 30-30

No offense, but that's their store policy...if you don't like it, don't shop there. You also have to fill out a boatload of liability waivers to buy a gun there. Aside from that, they have some decent sales every now and then. x2 on what KiltedClaymore said...

    An interesting find...

I had one of those Savage Mark IIs and it was a great gun and very accurate. I've been thinking of picking up another so my girlfriend will have a rifle to use. Around $115 at Wal-mart last time I checked...

    Disaster ammo for AR

Barnaul Brown Bear works for me and I find it to be a bit cleaner than Wolf. It's also 62gr if that matters to you...around $115 per 500.

    Mossberg 500 Combo for $285?

I paid $285 OTD about a year ago for my combo w/ wood furniture. Sounds like a decent deal for a great combo. It's great to be able to shoot skeet and then swap barrels for HD duty.

Thanks for the AR Uncle Sam! (Del-Ton kit)

Well I finally got a chance to take this gun to the range and I am very happy with it. I fed it about 80 brass-cased rounds (Remington & PMC) and then a mix of Brown Bear and Wolf steel-cased. Total was about 200 rounds and no problems whatsoever. Mags were Okay Industries and a PMAG...both...

WV Pastor Murdered at Shooting Range - One of ours MarkMc753

Wow, that is crazy...RIP. What is even weirder is that today while driving around town I was wondering if anyone had ever been robbed or murdered at a range before. This brought up another thought, although I doubt this is the thread to discuss it in. If you are at a range practicing w/...

Internet Gun Auction - this one has me biting my nails

For everyone saying they do not buy from sellers w/ 0 transactions...where do you think all the sellers with hundreds and thousands of transactions started out at? That's right...0. Maybe it's different on GunBroker, but on eBay there are so many things in place to protect the buyer, even from...

Thanks for the AR Uncle Sam! (Del-Ton kit)

Well, thanks to Uncle Sam, I was finally able to order my AR kit from Del-Ton. I went with the mid-length flat top with chrome lined barrel (non-chrome was on 8-12 week backorder), OD furniture and the cushy ergo grip. I ordered the kit on Sunday and it was sitting at my door today. I felt so...

Problem with Remington 597 30 round magazine...

For the record, I returned the 30 round mag and swapped it for a ProMag 22 rounder. The ProMag actually holds 25 rounds and feeds flawlessly.

Problem with Remington 597 30 round magazine...

I recently purchased a Remington 597 and a Remington packaged 597 30-rd magazine to go with it. The gun shoots flawlessly with the factory 10 round mags, but it doesn't seem like the spring in the 30 rounder is strong enough to continue feeding the rifle. Has anyone else had problems with these...

Off to the range, or so I thought!

"Another observation is that I have not met any AK SKS owners helping on political campaigns or donating their time and money to help preserve our second amendment rights or public places to shoot." Well, I own both guns and am actively involved in SCCC (Students for Concealed Carry on Campus)...

    642 Club Part Deux

New x42 Club Member here...! Today I traded my Springfield XD9sc for an almost new 442 w/ the CT laser grips. I am super stoked and can't wait to take it to the range. This will primarily be a backpacking/hiking gun, but it may occasionally take the place of my compact 1911 for daily carry...

    Sportsman's Warehouse & Concealed Carry

The sign at SW in Chattanooga states that this does not apply to people carrying concealed. It was nice to see that posted for a change.
