If the crack is not oil soaked, it is hard to tell from pic, then simply clamp the crack closed and open up the inside area around the tang (areas that don't show when assembled) a little back into the crack. Stay inside the outer walls! THIS is a place for the dreaded Dremmel! An 1/8" cutter...

Why not return it to the gunsmith for correction? Unless he did something that obviously looks wrong, that is what I would do. Though he probably should have caught the problem when collimating, he didn't. Since collimating is of limited value on most handguns for elevation, some won't check...
