    Does anyone know if the late model Remington 572 .22 pump is suppose to lock the slide when pulled to the front *if the trigger is held back*? It works correctly in every other way. But it seems to me that this should lock any time that it is pulled forward, if the manual release is not held...

    If the crack is not oil soaked, it is hard to tell from pic, then simply clamp the crack closed and open up the inside area around the tang (areas that don't show when assembled) a little back into the crack.     Mounting Pistol scope

    Why not return it to the gunsmith for correction? Unless he did something that obviously looks wrong, that is what I would do. Though he probably should have caught the problem when collimating, he didn't. Since collimating is of limited value on most handguns for elevation, some won't check...
