Nightforce scope issue with 50 bmg

I just mounted my new Nightforce Scope with the Eratac 20 moa mount on my Barret M82A1 50 bmg. The scope is a Nightforce nx8 4-32 x 50 with a zero stop. The issue I am having is at 250 yards…. With the elevation turret turned DOWN all the way I am shooting about 30 inches high. I am at lost of...

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

How can I find out if it’s an issue of the bolt carrier “binding” up?

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

Lol it’s very cool and no way I will buy it until the problem is addressed and it functions like it should. The way it sits... I am better off buying a $1,000 single loader 50 bmg!

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

In the clearest way I will try to describe it. When there’s zero rounds and I slam the bolt back it springs forward decently... maybe not as authoritative as I think it should, but when I put a mag in with 5 rounds in it and I slam the receiver back to load the first round .... it seems to...

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

I have the actual Barrett manual that came with the gun and reviewed it prior to posting. Not sure what bolt carrier “binding” meant. I am not qualified to diagnose that problem. I think that or the spring buffer is the issue. It seems like the last inch of the bolt carries traveling forward...

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

Hey guys... I cleaned the gun very well and oiled the needed areas and still cannot get it to cycle. Out of maybe 20 attempts I was actually able to get the second round load up properly after the first shot ONCE. Clearly something is off. I called a gun smith and he suspects that the previous...

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

I assumed that the Barrett was a “rugged” rifle and didn’t think much of the dry state it was in. Besides, I did not feel comfortable lubing someone else’s rifle. Now that the guy is ok with it... that’s my first step for tonight!!! Thanks!

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

When I pull the bolt back for it to load .... as it springs forward whether it’s loading an actual round or not... it does NOT slam like all of my other semi autos. It’s almost like closing a car door and not quite sure if it closed or not. This is my very first experience with a 50 BMG semi...

    Barrett 107 50 BMG won’t cycle....

I had posted a while back about how I was considering purchasing a used Barrett 107. Well.... I wanted to test shoot it over Christmas to make sure I wanted it before purchasing. It’s a good thing I did because it won’t cycle through. I am unable to shoot more than one round without manually...

Might purchase a Barrett M107 50 BMG. Advice please!

It’s a bit surprising how the BARRETT isn’t near a MOA Gun. I have heard this from everyone. Luckily I am not looking for this to be a tack driver .... just a fun gun!

Might purchase a Barrett M107 50 BMG. Advice please!

I have a ton of guns (at least for me I have plenty). As far as semi auto rifles; I have everything from two modified Saiga 12’s, Beowulf 50, PTR-91, a Daniel Defense ar-15, a couple Ak-47s, M1, Russian sks, and more. As far as a semi auto rifle... I feel like the only thing I am missing is the...

Might purchase a Barrett M107 50 BMG. Advice please!

Of course the Barrett comes in the case with the barrel disassembled. I want to keep it in my Gun vault on the rack (looks massively cool in my vault). Is there a disadvantage of keeping it assembled 24/7? I didn’t know if the constant pressure on the spring would mess up the performance over time.

I am going to get a Nightforce NXS for the Barrett! Seems like it’s the best way to go!

Might purchase a Barrett M107 50 BMG. Advice please!

When I went to Knob Creek many years ago I noticed all of the Barrett 50 BMG had the tank type brakes, but all of the ones now are cylindrical. I was curious as to the noise difference of the tank (2 port arrowhead brake vs the newer cylindrical ones that Barrett now uses in order to make it...

Might purchase a Barrett M107 50 BMG. Advice please!

I was curious as to the prices of the 107 vs the 82. Seems like the going price of a M82 is around $7,000 and for the M107 is around $10,000. Any idea why the large difference since both guns are pretty much identical? It seems like if I am able to get a used 107 in great condition with the case...
