    FFG in a pistol?

I've been itching to take an 1860 army reproduction out to the range lately (recieved as a gift nearly 20 years ago) But I have been unable to locate FFFG localy. What little I know about BP loading tells me I should be fine using FFG. YES? NO? Thanks for any replies.
