    my new 6.5 AI - i need a scope

I think the best buy on the market right now is the new Redfield scopes. Built by Leupold and backed by their lifetime warranty, I think the 4-12 runs around $200.

    Hiding a Shotgun?

http://www.the-backup.com/ goes between the mattress and box spring, just throw a blanket over it and your good. I'd probably use a cable lock to secure it to the bed frame when your not home.

Old, ugly, worn out, and I own it. Winchester 1912 in the house

Congrats, I just picked one of these up at a gun show on Sunday. Mines a 20ga. and was built in '22. They are very cool, I think I'm hooked.

Can tubular rifle mags be dangerous?

I've never seen a tube mag gun in .308, other than the new Marlins in .308marlin which is a proprietary cartridge but a pretty cool concept. The Savage 99 would be a great choice in .308 and uses a box magazine so it's perfectly safe with any ammo. Winchester 1895 would be good also if you like...

    Glock Barrels

I have a model 20 and did notice a slight bulge in my brass when I first got it. It's a gen 3, not the newer SF. I found a Storm Lake barrel lightly used, for a good price so I picked it up as I use a lot of cast bullets for loading. I had one failure to go into battery in the first mag I fired...

Any experience with the H&R Buffalo Classic .45-70?

Black powder silhouette shooters shoot at distances much greater than 200 yards with the 45-70. Some of those targets are pretty small for the distance they're at too. I say go for it, I've been considering one myself.

So, grip safety doesn't work. Llama .45

Anybody? Not even a book recommendation?

    Best scope for under $120?

Under $120? I'd go with a Barska. I had a 6.5-20 on a Saiga .308 and then on a 30-30(I know, I know but it was fun for a while). Soaked up a lot of rounds and never lost zero or fogged up.

So, grip safety doesn't work. Llama .45

So, I just purchased a Llama .45 and after closer inspection, the gun will fire without the grip safety depressed. This is my first 1911 style weapon, so any help would be appreciated. Is this a matter of a simple part replacement or will I need the services of a gunsmith? This isn't a carry...

    Scope for a Marlin 30-30

Why not go with a small red dot, such as the Burris Fastfire or something similar? Quick, easy to see, doesn't effect the rifles handling or get in the way when being carried and should be plenty accurate out to 100 yards.

    Guns for small people...

Rossi make a their break action rifle in a youth combo set with a .22, 20 or .410 and .223 or .243 three barrels. Might be useful, start with the .22 and then work your way up. They're pretty inexpensive too.

    Speaking of Makarovs, Magazine Availability?

http://www.gunclips.net/ma9x10ma.html $35! That hurts but the supply being what it is I may get at least one there. I think the auction sights are next. Thanks

    Speaking of Makarovs, Magazine Availability?

If Aim has them separately, they aren't listed on their sight. I may call and see though. I googled it also but the few places that list them don't have anything in stock.

    Speaking of Makarovs, Magazine Availability?

Anyone know where I can get some single stack(8 round) mags for a Russian Makarov. All I can find in stock anywhere are the double stack mags. I'd like to get two or three but can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks.

Cutting a shotgun barrel with a vent rib

A hose clamp around the barrel makes a great cutting guide if your using a hacksaw, even with the vent rib. Cutting along the edge of the clamp is a lot easier than using a piece of tape.

Recoil pad/butt plate for a 336 and will it fit a model 36?

I just picked up a Marlin 336 but it's missing the recoil pad. Can anyone recommend a prefit pad that will need minimal fitting or should I just buy a standard pad and fit it myself? The factory replacement on Midway has some really bad reviews as far as fitment goes so if I'm going to have some...

inexpensive place to buy an ar-15 upper?

Best prices I could find were here.http://www.rguns.net/ Looks like prices start at $350 for the DPMS Low Pro style and go up from there.

    Saiga 762X39 or .308?

I had on in .308 for a while and the recoil wasn't bad, not a lot more than my x39 but it was a 22in barrel, so it was a little heavier.
