I don't believe that. I bet it was a study with 5 does, and 4 of them lost there fawns which was assumed to be from coyotes. I would really like to hear more about the research that was done.

Ive seen one post that is mostly in line with my views. Here in Alabama the only real predator we have are coyotes. I have heard too many times people talking about how killing them would increase the deer population. I have a hard time believing a coyotes, or pack, would hunt down a 160 pound...

I killed my first deer with a 410. It was a slug out of a Springfield model 67. double, err 1.5, lung shot right around 30 yards. Tracked it about 70 yards.

Then why do so many support the eradication of wolves? I was reading on another forum where people were praising the poisoning of wild wolves and actually said it would be preferred if they were extirpated. Isn't this this the opposite of conservation? Or is conservation only apply to animals...

what exactly does it mean?? i keep reading that weatherbys have a freebored barrel or chamber and thats the reason there calibers are so much faster. ie 7mm remington mag would shoot 1100fps with a bullet, and the weatherby would shoot it 1300.

how so? im getting the bolt work done for free, all i have to pay for is the barrel work. i plan on getting a wood stock for it which ill bed myself, same with the trigger. after that all i have to pay for is the scope and mounts, which that is with any rifle... oh yea and the rifle cost me...

alright, its settled, now i just have to decide between 7mm rum and 300 rum. ive already got a 7mm mag, so im thinking the 300 will be great, and i could use it if i was to ever goin on an elk hunt or anything like that.
