    Savage Model 10 Precision Carbine

I have one and like it. It's a bit heavy for hunting here in the Rockies, but is a great medium to long distance rifle. I'm still getting used to the Accu-Trigger (set too light, it can trip to a safety notch when closing the bolt), and I need better optics, but I enjoy shooting it at metal...

S&W Model 13: Perfect Defense Gun?

One of my favorites. Like you mentioned, I don't see these much anymore. The grips work well with a T-Grip adapter, though I sometimes put Spegel boot grips on mine. I shoot .38s more than .357, and enjoy it more!

I have a DSA STG 58 Carbine with an 18" barrel, bipod and fixed stock. It is the second FAL pattern I have owned, and is clearly superior to a Century that I had 15 years ago. I have no complaints about my DSA, but prefer my M1As. It is fun to shoot off the bipod and runs without any issues...

Gun Room in Progress - Suggestions?

Great Project I built a gun room in my basement. We used an exterior door, reinforced the striker plate and deadbolt cavity and used cement drywall lined with sheetmetal. As for decor, I used concrete stain on the floor, got some kitchen cabinets to hold ammo, holsters, etc., and went with a...

    Yugo AK Help

Tom A: Thanks for the reply and photos. I will have to check, but I think my AK looks just like yours-without a bullet guide. I purchased this rifle new last fall, but like you, the weather and other projects always conspired against getting much range time with it. At this point, I am...

    Yugo AK Help

Thanks for the information. My rifle does say Century International Arms on the receiver, and has the Yugo grenade launcher/gas cut-off above the gas block. I'll try it with a few more mags (I have a bunch) and see. It does appear that the mag that came with the rifle rides a bit lower than...

    Yugo AK Help

I have a Century M70 underfolder and am having FTF problems. It came with a steel Yugo bolt hold open mag. Every few rounds through that mag sees a jam from the mag to the lip just below the chamber. This has happened consistently with Wolf as well as brass cased ammo. If I use a...

    Your Obscure Pistols (Pics)

Wolverine :) Thanks. I haven't fired it for years, but it is the first pistol I ever shot. The exposed hammer on a .22 is unique, and it has interesting controls-the safety is the reverse of a 1911, and the rear sight is basically folded spring steel. My Dad bought it at Wards in the...

    Your Obscure Pistols (Pics)

My father gave me this. A Whitney Wolverine. We used to call it the space gun. Not totally rare, I'm told, but definitely among the obscure in my collection!

    What was your first rifle?

Savage/Stevens Model 89 single shot .22 lr. It looks like a Winchester 92, but has a Martini style falling block. Got it for my 10th birthday, and still have it. The first rifle I bought on my own was a 10-22, followed quickly by a Marlin 336. Great memories of all of them.
