With predator season just around the corner I wanted to know what all you guys use and recomend for varmint hunting or more specifically coyotes, in 22-250?

Alright i'm looking for an excuse to buy a new rifle. Specifically for predator hunting. I'm thinkin bolt action maybe a semi-auto but what caliber? Probably most commonly used for coyotes. So what do you guys think? Caliber? Model?

Handgun hunting I'm looking at a .44 mag specifically for hunting and if possible wilderness protection. I would like to keep the barrel as reasonably short as possible without sacrificing too much accuracy. I also plan on shooting iron sight, no scope. Thanks for the input!
