So I'm really looking at getting an auto handgun for hunting (mostly deer). I need some inspiration. I would love to see what all you guys are using to take game with an auto handgun.

I haven't shot deer with it yet, but I packed a custom 10mm 1911 in WV a year or two ago, and will be back this fall to go at it again. That year I switched the second day to a T/C Contender (that I no longer have), and shot a nice doe. The Contender just isn't enough like a pistol to me to be comfortably carried. I will return with the 10mm. My gun also has conversions to .45 and 9mm/.38 Super, and is coated in green Black-T. Nice weather resistant finish.

How long have you had that fast fire sight on? How do you like it? Keeping a good zero with that slide mount?
