    Ar-15 bumpfiring

"all i asked was what i was doing wrong." Have you tried saying, "Hey ya'll watch this."? It could work.

    Ar-15 bumpfiring

What is poor form is to use a firearm in a way other than it was intended. It is dangerous because while showing off at the range, you are holding a weapon that is cycling far faster than it was intended to, with your weak hand, by the handguard, while your shoulder and strong hand have very...

    Ar-15 bumpfiring

Bumpfiring is just pointless showboating. It has no usefull purpose in weapons training, and is considered by many to be dangerous. If you want to fire a full auto, then buy one, or rent one at a range. As with so many other situations, there is no substitute for the real thing.

To Open Carry or not to Open Carry

Anyone who is allowed to open carry, should. If everyone did it, people in general would develop different opinions about firearms.

    suppressed K31?

I guess no one else is going to ask, so....why? Why a K31 instead of a 10/22? Why supress a mil surp rifle at all instead of an m-4gery? Why supress at all? Just curious.

    Semiauto with revolver-like trigger?

Nothing even comes close to the Para-Ord LDA trigger for double action. I've never shot anything like it.

Help me pick out a "fun" 9mm

The most fun you can have in 9mm is going to a range and renting a full auto MP5. Other than that I vote for a Springfield Armory 1911, 5 inch 9mm. It's reliable, accurate and if recoil is an issue at all, it won't be with this.

    Single-shot rifles, why not?

I would never call an enfield rifle slow to operate, but in my experiance, the K31 has a slight advantage. I'm sure many will disagree, but who cares, the difference is so negligible that it may as well not exist. When it comes to a fast follow up shot, the pump rifle has a clear advantage. It...

    Thoughts on 11 O'Clock Cross-Draw Carry?

Cross-draw is the most comfortable way to carry in my opinion. I carry a Glock 17 and in most other positions it seems like I'm always having to adjust the butt of my pistol to keep it from jabbing me or my clothing to keep the full sized auto concealed. With crossdraw, when I sit down in a...

    Single-shot rifles, why not?

I like single shots, but I understand the desire for a quick follow-up shot if it is necessary. I am not talking about bolt actions either. You can reload a single shot nearly as fast as a bolt action, but lever, pump, and of course semi-autos are much faster.

    Would you buy a Hi-Point?

I could see myself buying a 9mm carbine, but never a pistol. That's money I could save toward a high quality surplus pistol. Maybe a makarov or cz-52.

    Leetle 1911's

After about 300 rounds, I've got nothing bad to say about mine. Para-Ordnance .45 C6 carry model. The LDA trigger pull is superb. It has a 3 inch barrel and a 6+1 magazine capacity. It is VERY controllable. My wife enjoys shooting it so much that it is now living in the glove box of her SUV...

New here Hey everyone. I've seen links to this place in sig lines on other forums that I frequent(arfcom & surplusrifleforums) so I thought I'd come and check it out. My main intrest is in mil-surp rifles and rimfires, but I've got all different kinds of guns. I've found forums such as this to...
