Many people thread their k31 muzzles for brakes, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, but I've never seen anyone put one on. I'm also not that familiar with the ins and out of suppressor use, if its harder on the gun these are old guns....
There's nothing about the K31 that would keep you from suppressing it. Unless there isn't enough barrel sticking out in front of the front sight base to thread.
I guess no one else is going to ask, so....why? Why a K31 instead of a 10/22? Why supress a mil surp rifle at all instead of an m-4gery? Why supress at all?
Just curious.
I wanted to thread mine for a AAC can I have coming... but, as Zak said, there's really not much TO thread. Best results would probably be obtained from a custom threading/muzzle adaptor by a reputable company - if it's not concentric, baffle strikes are a good possibility.
With a can the thing would be over 4 feet long! That's a bit much for me, even if you could get deep enough threads and a good shoulder in the first place.
THeres a picture kicking around somewhere with a Swiss LEO sniper with a highly customized K31. Has a polymer bullpup stock and a can on the front. Looks like they also mounted the scope to be right above the receiver, or the middle line of the receiver. Not sure how they would've solved the ejection problem with mounting a scope like that though. I've wanted to own a K31 for years. Maybe I'll get one for BAGW.
