    Kydex Training Knives

As anyone who trains with edged weapons knows, training blades that match your live blades can be difficult (if not impossible) to find. Here are a couple examples of what I've come up with to address that problem.

    Customized Machete

I bought a piece-of-junk Coleman 18" machete about five years ago. I needed to clear some brush on a building lot, I didn't have time to order something, and the Coleman was all I could find locally. The blade was decent, for something that cost $4.99, but the cheesy handle broke the day after...

Why no love for BUCK's PakLites?

$15-17? Can't beat that with a stick.:D These were just kinda practice, but I'm pretty proud of them. I'm just about ready to buy some G10. .080" OD, laminated to .125" black "liners". My 140 is now wearing Kydex scales too, though I haven't gotten any photos of it yet. Figured I...

Gerald Ung, Not Guilty in Philadelphia

I don't know if Mr. Ung's case was discussed here. He and two companions were attacked by four men in Old City Philadelphia early last year. Mr. Ung shot one of his attackers, and was charged with attempted murder, among other things. The attack occurred on the street outside Fox 29's studio...

    The Daily Grind

Decided to make myself a 'hawk. Started with an Estwing E2H Carpenter's Hatchet. Did some work with a cutoff wheel. Cleaned it up, and started thinning it down. Realized that it was too heavy, and redesigned the profile. Almost home! My inspiration.

    Kydex PMAG pouches.

As my photography skills are not the best, I couldn't get the color to show accurately. It's a light tan, not white.

So, I've been playing around with some Kydex. Part II

P3AT/LCP Pocket Holster This one is for right hand carry. The outside of the holster is flat, to prevent printing. The body side is molded for some retention. I've developed a little trick to control the depth of the molding so that they're not too tight. The gun won't fall out (like...

    Drinking Alcoholic Beverages While Armed.

I often see and hear the phrase "Drinking and guns don't mix." I disagree. I fully support the idea that getting drunk and shooting don't mix. I don't get drunk before, or during my range sessions. I also am on board with the idea that handling firearms while drunk is a really bad idea. I don't...

    Questions for Delaware Members

I'm a Pennsylvanian who holds a Utah CFP. I'm going to be spending several days at Dover International Speedway this week. I have two questions. Are the campsites around the track off limits in any way? Is consumption of adult beverages while carrying a no-no?

    Basic Edged Weapons with Mercop

I just returned home after a day of training with George. I'll post a review of the class in the next day or so. For now I'll just say that anyone who has an opportunity to work with George should jump on it with both feet! I also want to thank Pete for hosting the class.

    NAA "Pug" and Kel-Tec P3AT

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I heard about THR over on www.pafoa.org so I thought I'd check it out. Seems like there's a lot of decent, knowledgable folks here so I think I'll stay.:D Does anyone own a NAA Pug and a P3AT? I'm asking because I think the XS sights that come with...
