1911
I bought a new Ruger SR1911 about 3 weeks ago. I appreciate 1911's more now than I did. It's not my EDC but I always take it to the range when I practice. 1911's are like single action revolvers, part of American history.
lighter and smoother
I just had the mag disconnect removed from one of mine and it made a lot of difference. It's lighter and smoother. It's worth doing.
SR1911 very good
I picked up one yesterday. This gun is very well made. Fit and finish is very good. After cleaning and lube I went to the range and shot 100 rounds. No problems. Accuracy shooting from a rest was also good. Some people just don't like Ruger but if it's as good as my Security...
LW Commander
I have an XSE LW Commander also. I've had no problems with it. Fit and finish are good. I replaced the metal magazine followers with plastic. No feed problems.
WD-40
I had one lockup on me before. It was caused by cleaning the gun years ago with WD-40, before I new better, and letting it set in the safe for several years.
I completely stripped the gun, cleaned and lube it with clp and it works fine now.
"Of course in the USA we have organized crime, I mean labor, and these government regulations and restrictions handcuff industry and often result in overpriced products of questionable quality."
Don't we have moderators on this board anymore. Do we have to read this mindless anti union rant...
I have two M&P pistols. A full size .40 and a compact 9mm. They are the only guns I have that I like just like they come from the factory. Good triggers, sights and grips on both. I think some people are too picky about the triggers. These are not bullseye guns.
