I'm heading down to Mooney's gun shop in the morning and I'm going to order a Remington M-799.
Anyone know a smith that can do a stripper clip mod for the .223?
I just want to know if there are any problems with feeding or accuracy,I'm thinking of having a custom bolt action built and would like the option of using stripper clips (As stated before in a different thread about doing the same to a CZ-527) to load.
Any ideas as far as iron sight options...
How about a Springfield M-1903 rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO,scale it down to fit the Carbine role with a 161/2-inch barrel, shorter length of pull on a straight grip stock,Standard rear sights (Just like the originals) update it to be able to use a modern bayonet/Knife,chrome line the barrel...
Unscoped (Because I'm more of an open sight type of guy) how accurate are the Rossi firearms break open rifles?
I'm thinking about picking up one in .223 (I have a hundred rounds just sitting in my gun safe waiting to be put to use,and I was taught never to waste money)
And do they make one...
The reason I'd like to know is because I'm thinking about picking up a 223 carbine, and thought the remington pump would be pretty nice to have.
A few questions to anyone who owns one of this fine looking rifles.
How accurate are they out of the box?
Any problems with reliability ?
I'm set to put the first down payment on an S&W 617.
I'm going for the 4-inch 10 shot.
And am going to dress it up with checkered service grips and an engraving (Going to do the same engraving for the Model 67 which is next on my purchase list)
The only section I'm going to have...
I was looking over the complete lowers on Charles Daly's site,
The A2 Fixed buttstock and lower is listed for $289.00....
Would it be possible to use a Rock River arms A2 complete upper?
(Yeah I know it's a "Franken Rifle",but I'm wanting to get an AR and am on a tight budget)
After planning to buy a Smith&Wesson Model 67 I thought about how handy a carbine chambered for the same ammo would be.
I'm thinking about looking around for a sample at the local gunshop.
Would long term 38.spl use hurt the chamber?
Should I just use 38.'s and forget about 357 mag use?
I'm staying with Smith&Wesson Revolvers.
I'm planning on replacing my model 12 and model 34 and keeping them as safe kings. (and for passing on to future generations)
The 22 I have in mind is the Model 617 4-inch that's the first buy.
Then a model 67 would be the cheapest buy between...
