I'm thinking of building a FAL with an Israeli heavy barrel. I found a parts kit and Imbel receiver for $899 and $218, respectively. So now I just need a number of U.S-made parts for 922(r) compliance, correct? Also, is that a good price for the parts and receiver? Thanks.

Yes, the P220 "Carry" has a shorter slide while retaining the full-length grip. I've never heard of a shortened slide causing problems with extraction on Sigs. In fact, I've never heard of Sigs having extraction problems.
