    SP2340 hammer follow

No it is DA/SA, sorry about that. This is my 4th Sig (2 P226s and a P229). It is not a sear issue, the hammer doesn't fall from it's cocked position with firm hand pressure. This is some kind of issue with the decocker it seems.

    SP2340 hammer follow

I picked up a used Sig SP2340 from a local shop the other day. I took it to the range and every shot the hammer followed when the slide went forward. i tried cycling it by hand and if I let the slide go from any more than half way back the hammer will drop. Any Ideas on the cause/fix? Here...

9mm PCC, braced AR pistol, AR rifle, or Ruger PCC-9?

That's kind of my thought, I'm very willing to buy Colt SMG mags, especially since I don't own a Glock so I don't have a pile of G17/G19 mags. I also think that the Colt mags do look a lot better than the Glock mags, and would be easier to load without looking on the clock.

9mm PCC, braced AR pistol, AR rifle, or Ruger PCC-9?

Tell me more about that side charging upper, I'm intrigued. As to competition rules, this would be for my local outlaw 3-Gun match and we are not picky in the slightest. People have run braced AR pistols as their rifle in the past with nothing said.

9mm PCC, braced AR pistol, AR rifle, or Ruger PCC-9?

I've been thinking about getting a 9mm carbine for a while now, but other things have always taken priority. Now my club is starting a PCC division at our outlaw 3-Gun matches and I'm itching to try it out. I would also like this carbine to serve double duty for HD, especially for the wife...

    Sub $1000 AK74 options?

So I'm interested in buying a 5.45 AK, but the only options that I can find are the Molot Vepr at $1000 with the too thick/too heavy 1.5 mm receiver, the Arsenal SLR-104 at $1100, and the SGL31 at $1400+. Why can you find 47s in the $600-800 range, but no 74s below $1000!?

    10/22 upgrades for Appleseed

Alright, I found most everything I was looking for poking around Rimfirecentral.com For those who are curious the Tech Sight 200s have the same thread pitch (36 tpi) on both the front post and the rear sight with 5 clicks/revolution each. As to the trigger, I think that I'll be doing the...

    10/22 upgrades for Appleseed

Yes, I have my sling setup all squared away and I'm learning my stances. I want to both get my 10/22 ready for the class and also do some upgrades at the same time. Of the 3 aftermarket trigger options is there a major difference between the $35 Volquartsen hammer and the $120 Volquartsen...

    10/22 upgrades for Appleseed

Hello all, I'm going to my first Appleseed this September and will be taking my ~6 year-old 10/22. I'm wanting to improve the trigger and do any other little fixes to improve accuracy. I have a few questions. 1. I'll be putting tech sights on the rifle, but I'm undecided between the...

More on Fast and Furious, punishment of the guilty??

As usual it gets released on Friday afternoon when it will get no attention. We'll have to see if anyone runs with this.

Low Power Illuminated Reticle / Dot Scope Suggestions

Another vote for the Burris MTAC, I really like mine. If you keep an eye on the Trading Post here and the Equipment Exchange at AR15.com you can usually pick up a used MTAC or TAC30 for a good price. That's what I did, I think I saved $50-70 as I recall.

Lightweight AR15 Build: What Matters Most?

I built an AR recently with two goals in mind: 1) light weight and 2) smooth and minimal recoil. I had prior experience with A1, A2, and M4-type rifles and liked the smoothness of the A1 and A2 and the lightness of the A1 and M4. I went with an 18" rifle-length pencil barrel to get the longer...

your favorite gun belt manufacturer is?

I just got my first dedicated "gun belt" this about 2 weeks ago. It's from Alien Gear Holsters. It is 2 layers of leather with spring steel in the center. The spring steel allows the belt to wrap around your body as a normal belt would, but won't let the belt "roll" in or out under the weight...

What do you think of www.full30.com?

Since '07/'08 I've regularly watched and subscribed to a number of gun channels on YT. Since Full30 started I try to watch as much as I can over there. I don't like that I can't see the channel's name or the video run time from the main page, but otherwise I have no complaints. I mainly watch...

    Lake City ammo ?

Yep, 1944 production and corrosive. In 1943 the cases were stamped "43". For 1944 they simply ground off the "3" instead of making new dies, wartime shortcuts.

Budget 9mm for Small Hands...Opinions on Steyr M9A1 and the Beretta PX4 Storm

I don't know about grip length, but I've heard a number of people say that the Ruger SR9 feels very narrow for a double stack. If you're willing to change calibers the CZ82/ CZ83 come in at ~$300-$400 and have a very comfortable grip for smaller hands.

    Makarov disconnector issues

I just got an unissued Bulgarian Makarov from SOG. It was packed in cosmoline so I detail stripped it and got it all cleaned up. Now I'm trying to get it back together and am having issues. It seems that the disconnector (on the trigger bar) is not working properly, possibly because of an issue...

Want to build AR, missing anything?

Buffer tube. I like the Vltor A5 system, carbine convenience with rifle recoil and reliability. As for tools you don't need a pivot pin install tool. Just use a razor blade or something similar (or a wooden dowel/drill bit/whatever) to hold the detent in until you install the pin. I'm also...
