This no-fly list issue is very troubling, since it's very arbitrary. I knew an airline pilot who was on that list for no good reason other than his last name. Had to go through a special pat down and search every time he went through security, and then was entrusted to fly a large aircraft...

If your loss of temper leads to a temptation of physical violence, you have no business carrying a gun. I wouldn't even expose a gun unless my life was threatened by another deadly weapon. Sounds like a loaded question. If you can't control your temper, I wouldn't trust you with a gun.

For deciding on whether to clean the bore or not, how do you determine if the specific ammo you're using is corrosive? Don't remember that info being stated on the box.

I think what triggered my interest in these tracks was the fact I found animal manure in my chicken pen that wasn't from the chickens. Something climbed over the fence. Good thing the chickens were locked in their house. I'll post my Trail camera pictures if I get any tonight.

Yea, I should have included a measurement. I'm guessing it was no less than 4 inches across. I bought a Moultrie trail camera at the local hunting store today, so maybe I'll get lucky and see what's been making these tracks. I'm will be anxiously waiting to see.

They're close to dog tracks, but I'm not sure since Bobcats, and a Cougar have been spotted in our area.

I agree with much of RCModel's line of reasoning on this issue. The only problem is the government is not sincere in their true intentions, and their ultimate goals. The proper kind of regulation drawn up by pro-gun advocates, would actually protect our right to keep and bear firearms...

One of the reasons I don't like dry firing guns either, since I grew up being taught to treat every gun like it was loaded whether it was or not.

Last batch of 44 mag brass I sized I used nothing, just dry. Seemed to push thru the die ok, no scratches , etc. I read somewhere you could safely do this. Any unforeseen problems I could expect?

Until things settle down, all I need is one round well placed to stop the crazy fool breaking into my home with intent to harm my family. Maybe two, in case I'm half asleep.

After seeing how hard it is to get 223 rounds for my rifle I can see how this administration could restrict/tax the production of ammunition. In the interest of "activism", what can we do to stop such potential laws or exective orders? What do you think the NRA can legally do if it happens...

Don't mean to hijack this thread by any means, but what rifle and what rate of twist are you using? I'm not getting a very good grouping with this round at 1:9.25 twist. Seems to do better with the slower / heavier FPS ammo.

I have the Savage 243 Predator rifle, love it. Bought it because I can't get 223 ammo right now. Have a very nice DPMS AR, but what good is it as a ammo-less paper weight?
