If you look at the rear of the press, they usually have the gauge stamped on the base plate. The charge bars are interchangeable for all the gauges, depending on the ounces you need to load for that particular gauge. You'll also need the various powder bushings. Unless you buy a Universal...
You have in your possession a walnut press. You lift the handle, screw the end either in or out depending on the size of the walnut, insert the walnut and bring down the handle, cracking the walnut enough for you to peel off the hull. You make sure the walnuts are segregated into like size...
I wouldn't use too 'strong' of a roll crimp. My experience with the .44-40 has been a roll crimp just enough so my fingernail would not catch when run across the roll crimp. That tip came from writer Mike Venturino. More than that will result in the occasional buckled or crumpled case.

I'm still shooting AL-5 in my .38's and AL-8 in my .44 mag. hunting loads. Bought kegs of it in 1973 when a large hardware store in a city close by sold out. My buddy and I bought pickup loads of reloading components.
I had the same experience others mentioned regarding the spade connector on the motor. You might want to check that before you buy another motor. One of the spade connectors on mine needed to be replaced. While I was in there, I replaced both of them. In fact, I believe I found that...
The media in my Frankfort only goes about half as fast as the one shown in the video. I might have to take the advice of not turning the rod in as far like J2FlAN suggested.
Jim,
Thank you so much for the kind offer. I looked for the safety today and couldn't find it. I know it is lurking in the dark recesses of my reoading/gun room. I will continue the search.
Mike
Thanks to all who have responded. I should add that the rifle has a scope on it. I really don't know how to post pictures, so to the following people,
Jim K. - My safety is 9 o'clock for safety, and around 11 o'clock for fire
Mobuck - This indeed might be a 'sporter' safety, as the metal...
I recently bought a Mauser 98 .30 Ackley #1 Short Magnum that has a left handed safety on it. I bought a low profile right handed safety to replace it and wanted some help from the learned members on how to this.
Many thanks in advance.
Mike
I just read a back issue of 'Guns' magazine from 1960 regarding an 1860 Colt.
The writer was using a duplex load of 2 grains of Red Dot smokeless powder under 30 grains of FFF black powder in each chamber, and topping it with a .44cal. round ball. He claimed this load shot very clean.

I would call were I you. I've never tried emailing, but have made many numerous phone calls to them. While having had to wait my turn (which they call 'in que'), which took several minutes a few times, I had all questions answered promptly and professionally.
Thumbs up and 5 stars for RCBS...
I have several Lee hand priming tools I have been using for over 20 years. Broke a couple of handles during that time, but always managed to pick up a few extras at garage sales and gun shows. From what I've heard from fellow reloaders, they really like the new style Lee hand priming tool...
I use these through my revolvers, but found they patterned terribly in my Marlin rifle. Hope you have better luck than I did. I believe it was because of having to traverse too much rifling.
