    .38 Super vs .357 Mag

I voted for the SP101, but... This also makes a lot of sense. The 357 is a classic woods gun but the 10mm in a 1911 is a very nice gun. Also, have you considered, say, the SIG 229 in 357SIG?

    Head shots?

Depends who's doing the shooting. If it's me, then you are correct. After a few hours of instruction, I can engage multiple targets quickly if standing relatively still or from behind a barricade. My BIL, on the other hand, has worked security detail in Iraq and Afghanistan and can hit...

    .380 defense loads

I vote neither The CorBon 90gr load or the Corbon 80gr Barnes DPX. Those would be the first place that I would start.

    Best .380 Pocket Piece

IMHO... The Colt 380 Government. I shot one once and it was the best 380 that I ever shot.

    POLL: Which Premium 1911??

Ok... From some what of a noob. I have shot the Ed Brown and the Wilson and a Bear (but not the TRS) and I can honestly say that they all shot and handled wonderfully. I only put about 20-50 rounds through each, but they were all great. I, personally would choose the Ed Brown because of the...

Ok, so... If you could have one rifle, and it has to be an AR...

EDIT: I am new to shooting. I have shot a lot of guns, but have not owned one. this will be my first (and only for a while) gun and will need to be a jack of all trades. Hi all I am seeking your wisdom. If you had to have only one rifle (maybe even just one gun) and it had to be an AR, what...

Show your gun along with a historic photo of it

THis is the coolest thread ever! EVER! I wish that I had a scanned copy of my Grand Father or Great Uncle in France (WWII), my other Great Uncle in the Pacific (WWII) or my Great (don't know how many greats) civil war photo. But this still the coolest pic thread ever.

Two-Thread Poll - What optic is on your 14.5 - 19" Carbine (AR15 or similar)?

no offense, but... I think that you should have broken eotech and AimPoints into different options, as a lot of shooters often have to choose between them if they want 1x. Just me 2 cents

Reloading Bench Plans for Small Apartment Needed Please

Hi all, I am getting into reloading and need to build a bench. I am pretty handy and have a friend that owns all the tools I would need (table saw, chopsaw, drills, etc). I have room in my small apartment for a bench about 2x3 feet (is this big enough). I was thinking of making it out of...

    Lapua Scenar Ammo

I may be wrong here... But I think that they are paper punching rounds, like the AMAX and Match Kings. Sure, they will take game, but there are probably better suited bullets.

    Are we crying wolf

Nope I'm a bit of a history buff. Remember the last AWB? this one will make the last one look like a walk in the park. Just look at what the great o did in his state and the bans that were in effect there.
