I started out using CCI exclusively until realizing the price of Tula/Wolf things were more affordable even with hazmat charges. Unlike some others, I've had extremely good success with Tula/Wolf primers.......more bang for buck for me.......I know, lousy pun.
I try like hell to buy American...
There are those who might think the ammunition store is engaging in free enterprise capitalism and that's fine. Although I'm a strong believer in capitalism and free enterprise, gouging of this nature crosses the line and my hope is that anyone who is aware of such practices has a good memory...
If "forgiving" means ease of metering, I've found them both to meter very nicely in my 550's. If you mean the level of bang, then 2400 is the more gentle from my experience.
Like so many others, I started with a Rockchucker and made some great ammo. Got the urge and ended up buying two L-N-L's which I thought would be the balls. They were not what I expected and with respect to those who enjoy tinkering with a machine a great deal, I sold them both. I then...

Add a cap full or two of Nu Finish car wash along with a cap full or two of mineral spirits to your media and you'll have little or no dust. And your brass will come out bright and shiny! Give the combo a minute to mix with the media before you tumble your brass.

I've bought a lot of stuff from MG and have always been impressed with their packaging. I have to think that the USPS went a little nuts on that one. It's just plain an unfortunate situation for both MG and IMtheNRA. Hope you work it out!
Tim, with the current frenzy going on, you're best to look at the information in your books, write down the suggested powders and hope your local gun shop has one of them. My go to book is Lyman's 49th and for a variety of powders and projectiles I visit loaddata.com. Good luck.
