Sight installation
I removed the standard sights and installed Meprolights on my Kimber Pro carry. I carefully used a brass punch with the slide protected by oak blocks in my vise. I did very minor fitting on the new sights with a trianglular file. Carefully center the sights in the slide...
FTF can mean a lot of things. If the gun is going "click' and not firing, your grip and the FP safety may be arguing. I had some FTFs with my tactical, until another shooter proved that I was the problem.
One quick question
One quick question without hijacking the thread. I have a "tactical" custom Kimber with an alloy frame (and ramp). Will the 200 gr SWC bullet damage the ramp in this pistol any quicker than 230 gr Round nose?
hogue grips are A+
Hogues definately improved my 92F/S. I have CTs on my Vertec and while I love the laser on a bedside pistol, they feel nothing like the Hogues. What a great product and outstanding customer service if you ever have a rare problem with one of their products
125 gr lrn with 4gr Win 231. I am actualy at about 3.95 gr. to make minor. I had to put in a 15 lb recoil spring and uncaptured guide in my g34 to handle reloads reliably. If you don't do that, I beleive the glock will give you jams in some of the wierd positions you will shoot from.
I noticed recently that conversion units are described as only fitting .45 caliber frames. I thought that 1911's were one sized. Are super .38 and 9mm full sized a different sized frame? I am looking at a kimber conversion unit on a 1911 other than .45.
I am looking for an overall length for 125 gr Sports master JHP 9mm load. I am thinking of loading 4.0 gr Win231. If anyone has data on this cartridge I would sure appreciate it. I am going to order a Sierra Manual but thought I would load some of these this w.e. thanks, Ron
I have just started loading 125 grain cast 9mm loads on my lee turret. I have started with .32 disc which I believe gives me 3.4 grains with 231. Would the .34 disc give a more accurate load for my Beretta? I believe that would be 3.8 grains.
Also I am trying to find data for a Speer 125...
yours looks new. This one is more like 97%. My main attraction to these pistols is the dovetail on the front sight. I would probably install fiber optic on the front. .
I am looking at a used Beretta Vertec with inox finish. The pistol looks good , but has a rub mark near the front below slide and a couple of very minor scrathes. Original owner claims less that one box fired. It is in original box with two magazines. Anyone got an idea on the value of this...
