@Tomcat47 I've had limited experience with similar pistols. I am much more comfortable shooting a rifle, but my job requires me to qualify with the M9. I've been shooting for about 9 years.

So my Marlin model 60 I've had for a few years is currently in an unusable state. The trigger guard as deteriorated to a point were the smaller screw holding the rifle together will not hold anymore due to the deterioration. First off, this is how the trigger guard is supposed to look...

No real "main purpose", just most anything one would do with a shotgun, such as shooting varmints in the chicken house, skeet shooting, small game hunting, killing crows that like corn too much, self defense, etc.

Which one will last longer? The Springfield M1A or the Armalite AR-10? Also a question on Springfield's M1A, will a wood stock last longer the fiberglass one? Or vis versa?
