Anyone got any hints and tips for shooting a military issue Beretta M9?

I must ask are you familiar at all with the Autoloader Platform?

I will wait for your reply, and if you do not mind tell us here at THR about yourself.... Have you been shooting long? Hunter etc.?

The front dot covers the target, other than that just shoot it and keep it lubed up.

@Tomcat47 I've had limited experience with similar pistols. I am much more comfortable shooting a rifle, but my job requires me to qualify with the M9. I've been shooting for about 9 years.

You have firearm experience is what I was after. I found the military training video on youtube and it is self explanatory and will familiarize you with the M9.

There are other reviews on youtube, some lengthy and informative, and some very opinionated in different ways. I think the military training video will let you make your own opinions and show you what you are after.

I'd say if it's going to be military training and you have "limited experience" just let the training take it's course. That is of course assuming I'm reading you correctly in that you'll receive training and then be required to qualify.
