Would you Buy a Heckler and Koch USP 40 Tactical

I'd just move up to an HK 45. Skip the .40 caliber altogether. :D Or go 9mm with the P30. HK is good stuff and IMHO is worth the difference. And BTW, I've been shooting and collecting handguns since the mid 1970's. Good luck OP, hope things work out for you.

Would you trust a Taurus 1911 with your life?

Too many horror stories about Taurus quality out there for me. Even if half of them are b*llsh*t, that's still a very high number. Also, too many top knotch gun manufacturers around to settle for something less than the best, IMO.

Would you trust a Taurus 1911 with your wife?

No, I want her to have something well made and dead nuts reliable produced by a top tier gun manufacturer. Especially when her life or mine could depend upon it,YMMV.

$600 a good deal for a Hi Power in 9mm?

I'd jump all over it if it's in good condition. Get it now. Yes, the BHP is a true classic sidearm, buy this one and do your research about them later. And don't let the CZ guys come in here and talk you out of it. :D

Are HK pistols worth the money?

Quote by NWCP: "Whether, or not the pistol is worth what you pay for it is pretty subjective. I can't see buying a Glock that doesn't fit my hand well just to save a couple hundred bucks. That's a what I call a K-Mart mentality. While cost comes into the equation, why would a shooter not...

    Best Beretta 92 Mag Manufacture

I prefer Beretta mags. I realize Mec-Gar has a great reputation but after having problems with two brand new Mec-Gar's for a BHP I'm a bit leary of them now.

Are HK pistols worth the money?

Without a doubt H&K pistols are absolutely worth the price. :D I've been shooting since the early 1970's and have collected many fine pistols. My first pistol was a MK IV Series 70 Colt Govt. Model purchased in 1978 when I was 21 years old, so that should give you some insight into my...

    Kahr cw9 opinions

When it comes down to the defense of me and my family -- I want something that is totally reliable -a Walther PPS. Cheap Kahrs, and Keltecs just don't cut the mustard. Sorry, but the Germans just have it all over the Moonies. :)

    Kahr troubles

How many Kahr pistols injured Navy SEALs? Well, zero ... comparable to the number of SEALs who've gotten hurt using those Red Ryder BB guns that Ralphie got in "A Christmas Story." And like Red Ryder, Kahr isn't even on the SEALs radar. What I said -- and I'm sorry to have to say it...

Should I pull the trigger on this Hi-Power Mark III ??

Hi wojownik. It sounds like a damn good deal to me. If you want it buy it now! You could wait and haggle and maybe (lose it) or save $50.00 or so but life is short. BHP's are awesome. :D

    New semi-auto???

If you qualified expert with the Beretta why don't you consider a Beretta? It meets all the criteria you listed. A great home defense pistol and a real value at around $600.00.

    New 9mm Compact!

Smith and Wesson hit a home run with the M&P series, IMO. Good looking piece. Congrats.

    Kahr troubles

Good point Dr. Rob. I gave a very specific example of a major Kahr failure that I witnessed first hand. But frankly, politics has nothing to do with subpar handguns. Kahr quality is in the limelight. And it is totally lacking from what I've seen personally and from what I've read.

    XD45c vs Sig Sp2022 - Thoughts, please

Sig is great stuff and has a good trigger. The other pistol has a very high bore axis imo. But in the end both are good. It depends on what you shoot best. :) Good luck and let us know what you decide.

    Kahr troubles

About a year ago, I qualified for my CCH beside a guy who was shooting a Kahr. I had my 92FS which ran perfectly. He had a Kahr 9mm. His pistol choked on the second round. :what: And BTW, I'm sure you gentlemen know this but Kahr, is owned by "Saeilo Corp." and is a subsidiary of the...
