    are all CZs this good?

I absoutely love the CZ brand. I have two 452s, a Varmint and a Fullstock. The nicest finish on such a bargain rifle and extremely good accuracy! Man want to talk about a sub-par finish? Have you looked at a Remington 700 lately? Looks like they blued the thing with Krylon and Sharpies!

    Woman at church

Well I disagree. The "maternal instinct" may be very prevalent or what have you in such a situation, but unless someone is absolutely willing to take a human life on a moments notice, they should not be equipped with deadly force.

Hand Guns as Hedge against Inflation?

I find it very simple; buy when prices are low, sell when prices are high. This goes for every investment.

    Just bought a K31, how'd I do? Pics inside!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I can't wait to shoot it. I absolutely love the action and the trigger on this rifle. Smooth as butter and a real nice trigger. I think I got a pretty good deal on it, I'm very happy with it.

    Just bought a K31, how'd I do? Pics inside!

Hello all, This is my first post, and my first K31 I just came home with. I paid $575 even and got the rifle (all matching #s, great looking figure in the walnut stock, missing a few small pieces towards the muzzle), 405 rounds of GP-11, 444 once-fired Hornady cases, 125 once-fired Prvi...

    Need opinions on next 22

My friend you are missing two letters here: CZ! The best value in a .22 rifle today. All different barrel contours, even a Mannlicher full-stock style. With a $15 trigger upgrade and Wolf Match Target and my scope on 15x, CONSISTENT 1/2" 5-shot 50 yard groups. I paid $405 for my 452 Varmint...

    rimfire target scope ?

Hello, My go-to scope for rimfire benchrest is a Weaver T36. Don't know if that's too much scope for what your looking to do but I highly recommend it.

    Bushnell Elite confusion

I own the 3200 Bushnell 5-15x40mm, and it's a great scope. It's very clear on the 15 power setting and is not sensitive to eye position like some lower quality scopes can be. I paid $250 for mine from a guy who was selling it new in box. I think they retail for around $340. I love this scope so...

Remington 700 .223 leaving bad brass scratch

Like many others in this thread have already said, Remington quality control has really fallen off. Last year I bought a Remington 700 VLS in .308 and had a terrible experience. The rifle came to me with a cracked stock, worn finish and looked like a used gun. Luckily the establishment I bought...

    Threatned by my neighbor

What I would do and what you SHOULD do are two very different things. People coming onto your land uninvited while open-carrying is a sign that you need to get serious. Since you know this Sheriff fella', keep him updated with everything that happens. As other's have said, the fence idea...

    Backwards windage adjustments on scope

Hello, So I recently purchased a Bushnell 3200 5-15x40mm scope, and I've just gotten a chance to mount it. The up/down windage adjustment is backwards; when I turn the direction of up, it brings the reticle down and vice versa. For obvious reasons, I would like them to be correct. I've tried...

Help me find my "Ideal Gun State"

Kentucky my friend. That's where I'm going to be making my exodus to. I'm a California boy but my heart is in Kentucky. Most of my family is there. They got a 2 out of 100 points possible for gun laws from Brady Bunch (California got a 70 and ranks the highest). Either Kentucky, Oklahoma or...

Good humidity level for gun safe?

Just checked the humidity again tonight, and it is right at about 30%. Hotter than blazes in the safe and the garage thought, it's been right at about 93 F today and inside the garage it was just about 97, and it the safe it was the same. What would the effects of it being too hot in the...

Good humidity level for gun safe?

Sounds good. Just checked it again and it's right at 40% and says it's right around 93 degrees F. I do live in a pretty hot place, a dry heat but this whole week is above 100, so I think it's doing pretty well. It's also summer so I guess during winter (if you want to call it that in California)...

Good humidity level for gun safe?

Sounds good. Considering California is very dry and mostly dessert, then right around 45% sounds good. I'm going to track it once a week and see where it's at.

Looking to buy my first rifle

There really isn't anything about the two that are in the same league when it comes to a Remington 700 and a Mosin Nagant. 2 very different rifles. A Mosin Nagant was made to be battered, dropped, slammed and have a bore full of mud and still fire. A Remington 700 is more of a precision firearm...

Good humidity level for gun safe?

Hello, Just acquired my first safe about a 2 weeks ago. It has a 12" dehumidifier rod in it and it's a 1996 Liberty Washington 40 model, meaning it is 40 cubic feet in size. I got a $7 humidistat and it says it is right around 45% humidity in the safe. I live in Southern California, and was...
