    Help Clear Up my Confusion

I do not know what the “CTD“ means in the Acme description, but: Why would the max loads be so much higher on the Acme? Is the significantly higher velocity and pressure of the Acme be due to the significantly higher powder load? Thanks…..

    Best Method for Priming

I have been using the priming lever that came with my Lee Challenger press. Not sure what I did wrong, but last night I bent the spring portion. Thinking the case was not fully in the case holder. Anyway, looking for suggestions on other priming options. Most threads read here are old, so...

    Webcam - Scale Set Up

Got my webcam set to view scale with more precision. Works great for these old eyes. Unfortunately, it does not play well with my overhead fluorescent lighting - the dreaded rolling bands flowing up the screen. I would be blinded in ten rounds with that going on. Tried an LED shop light. No...

    Inexpensive Webcam Suggestions?

Want to set up a webcam to laptop view of my beam scale to see zero more clearly. Likely need close up manual focus Ability? Any suggestions on what has worked well for you?

    Bench Experimentation!

Doing some re-arrangement to have a decent place for my “new” RSCB 5-10 scale arriving tomorrow. Re-purposed an old RC airplane flight line box to a scale shelf at my eye level. It is level, so we shall see when actually measuring loads …

    Comparing Reloading Rounds

Quick visit to the range this morn. Compared two 380ACP reloads: 3.1gr HP38 under RME 95gr FMJ 3.3gr Accurate #2 under RME 95gr FMJ Bersa Thunder Nothing too phenomenal. Looks like a tighter group with the Acc #2, but I think the shooter was a bit more relaxed and slow for the Acc #2 shooting...

    RCBS Scale Parts?

I bought a used RCBS model 5-10 scale. It is perfect in all respects except for the bearings, which appear worn. I contacted RCBS for new bearings but they replied that they no longer have parts for the long ago discontinued model and that I would “need to buy a buy a new scale.” The new model...

    RCBS 5-10 Scale Part?

The RCBS 5-10 scale has a nylon screw coming in from the back of the beam that is used to lock the micrometer poise in place to prevent movement during weighing. I need one and RCBS does not have. Anyone know where I could find one or the screw specs. Also, if careful, could the scale be used...

    What’s in the Box?

Looking to buy a used RCBS 5-0-5 beam scale. Can anyone share what all should be in the box? Do not want to buy and then find I am missing parts. Thank you.

    I Bought A 2nd Powder

Have been using HP38 exclusively since I began reloading about a month ago - .380ACP only. Today, I picked up a pound of Accurate #2 to try and compare to the HP38. Loaded a box of 50: 95gr RMR FMJ over 3.2gr of Acc #2. Range closed today, but will compare on Monday.

    Factory Brass?

Just found I could buy once fired brass by specific brand or assorted. Is all factory brass about the same or are some better (ie, is Federal brass better than “X” brass). Worth paying a premium for sorted?

    Range Time

Took some of my .380ACP home loads to the range today to give a try to the load I found best last week. 95gr RMR FMJ RN over 3.1gr HP38. I am no marksman for sure, but pretty pleased with what the gun/bullet can do. Target at 10 yds, Bersa Thunder. I am right handed with the left eye dominant...

    Case Gauge Alternative

For about the same price I paid for my Lyman .380ACP case gauge, I just bought a used, low round, perfect factory specs barrel for my Bersa Thunder .380 ACP. Needs a good cleanin. Like checking my reloads randomly for gauge and chamber fit. But, I hate breaking down my Bersa to make safe when I...

    .380ACP Bullet Choices

Pretty new at reloading but will soon be needing to order more bullets. Have been using the RMR 95gr RN FMJ. It is a .355 which seems to be a nice fit. Many other bullets listed as .380ACP are .356. An issue or no? I do not want bulging cases. Also, some seem to be selling 9mm and .380 ACP...

    Old Reloading Books

Bought a used old (2007 - 48th Ed) Lyman Reloading Handbook thinking any additional data would broaden my knowledge. The more source info the better, right? Well, old data may not be too healthy. My current favored load for my .380ACP is 3.1gr HP38 with 95gr FMJ. Consensus range is 2.9gr to...

    Bullet Puller Question

Believe I need to add this tool to my bench. Is the old hammer impact style still worth buying, or are there better options out there that would not take my monthly food budget?

Need Experts to Help Solve Problem

First batch of reloaded .380ACP rounds all fired and cycled wonderfully. Found my favored load to be 3.0gr - 3.1gr of HP38 under the RMR .355 95gr FMJ. Thought I’d make a few dummy loads this afternoon to be bench benchmarks for occasional die re-measures, etc. Made five dummy loads at 0.9800...
