Anyone using subject website under the new subscription system?
All legit and worth the subscription cost?
Am considering is why I am curious.

Thanks

I have not used the new subscription setup. I find the load data quite useful since it’s derived from real-world work-ups with actual firearms in most cases. Never hurts to have another data point.
Load data sometimes exceed published data but it was worked up to.

How are you accessing the load data without a subscription. From my reading, I must subscribe to have access?

Yes, but for some reason I have an old bookmark that goes straight to the load data page. Still works.

When my Dad passed away last year I inherited several load manuals from the 1950’s and 60’s. Many of the calibers are long obsolete. They come in handy now and again. Probably my most used reference for reloading is Ken Waters Pet Loads tome. Ken was studious to a fault but I have never heard of an unsafe load referred to him. I have a Herters load manual from the 1960’s that covers many of the military calibers from WWII with loads. More information is always a good thing.

I would say it’s worth the subscription but I’m not a subscriber. I have been reloading long enough to do my own load development and really don’t need much more than a starting point for most projects. If you’re new to reloading it’s probably a good resource. Just be careful and NEVER start at the max level.

Steves Pages used to have maintenance and "care and feeding" instructions on all manner of US and "allies" weapons, all for free access. I downloaded a lot of stuff.

I don't remember if it was before Steve died or after his friend took it over, but he/they said the site was getting a lot of hits from the Middle East, and that access was shut down. You had to contact Steve to get back on. The new "proprietor" went to subscription to finance the site.

I don't see any "gun digest" or "firearms disassembly" type stuff there now

Did you bother to check out Loaddata.com published by Wolf Publishing? Wolf Publishing puts out several shooting magazines, including Handloader Magazine. Wolf has also published Ken Waters, "Pet Loads" in book form. They have current load data and there are also articles open to the public on many different calibers.
I used Loaddata.com a few years ago and went back to it again this year. You should check it out; compare and then decide.

Yes I used to look up owners manuals and stuff Bookmark was something like page16B??

I see no reason for the OP to subscribe just for load data. Use manuals and powder company websites.
Heck even the Lee manual has tons of load data copied from other companies (Lee did not test them)
Only so many ways to load a 380 acp/auto

Have made the same decision. I have plenty of load data sources and do not need another. And, like you say, there are only so many way#v to load the .380ACP.

Man, what a bunch of incorrect info and pure assumptions. FYI, I kept StevesPages FREE in entirety for 3.5 yrs after Steve passed. It was only the issue with overseas that forced me to either close my retirement business which was doing well, or close StevesPages. I kept StevesPages and am STILL applying final touches to the firewall so that MAYBE some day I can get my life back. I know $12 for a whole year might really break some finances but for the first time in 24 YEARS StevesPages has finally covered it's own expenses.

Would any of you nay-sayers put in 4.5+ years of 60-70 hrs a week looking at millions of IPs and deciding which can be trusted and writing filters for those that can't be, and still pay for everything yourself? IMHO, 90% of those that cry foul on this are the same ones that go shoot $100 in .223 ammo each weekend.

To the many that support the continuance of StevesPages, thank you. I only took this on as I felt/feel it a worthy cause.
