My question is what is the best grain of bullet for the 1/11 twist. That is what Tikka offers for their .308.

I shoot federal 168 match out of my remmy 5r, which has 11.25 twist. I hear that twist was chosen because it is optimum for 175's, but my rifle likes the 168's best. .75 moa, consistently, and enough .5" groups that I know it's my fault when they don't happen.

Back when I could see iron sights, I shot Service Match Rifles. This was my favored twist.:)

You should be good to go with bullets up to 190 gr. My 12" twist guns do not like even 170 gr Lapua Scenar bullets.

The 175 gr SMK is hard to beat as a long range, "do-it-all" match projectile in your gun.

The twist rate in .30 caliber rifles is not critical. I shoot 190SMK's out of my 1-12" FN SPR all the time, and I know guys who shoot 210gr bullets out of their 1-12" twist barrels. You will be fine with whatever weight bullet you choose.
