Any experience with e-gunparts.com barrels for the 10-22? Specifically, I see they have a 24" bull barrel for a very attractive price (link). I haven't seen a 24" barrel anywhere else, so far.

I'm not excited about a bull barrel, but a 24" barrel would give me very quiet shooting of a Long CB Caps for introducing new shooters and for quiet plinking or pest elimination at short range.

Thanks for any feedback.

Dirty Bob

rimfire central

Rimfire central is the best place i've ever seen for 10/22 after market. If it's worth looking at it's in there. Everyone seems to agree Green Mountain is the best bang for your buck. I guess my best answer would be that i trust the rimfire central site so much that if they don't advertise it it's probably not any good. I would ask around there for more info. I heard GM was going to sell a few 22-24". Just my .02

I have an unfluted 18" barrel and it is heavy. Now 24" bull barrel is got to be really heavy, a strickly bench rifle barrel. Mark

Thanks for the replies. Bummer that it would be so heavy. I've many fond memories of shooting a 24" Mossberg with Long CB Caps. It was accurate, and the loudest noise was the strike of the bullet. I was hoping for a similar experience with the Ruger, but the only 24" barrel I've seen is the bull barrel from e-gunparts. I'll do some checking on rimfirecentral.

Thanks again,
Dirty Bob
