Keep in mind the new MIM hammer has a different size hole because it lacks the bushings of the old hammer, so you’ll need to measure the diameter carefully for newer production 10/22s.

The angle is essentially correct from the factory but Ruger adds a small bit of excess material right at the tips. Very simple to do and very effective. The other trick is to reprofile the tip of the trigger return plunger (the little nub behind the trigger protruding from the housing. I round the whole thing off and make sure the rear of the trigger blade is smooth and free of any snagging points.
 
If you have an old ball point pen laying around....the spring in it can replace the trigger return spring successfully in the 10-22's I've had and will drop the pull down to an acceptable level. Cost is pretty much nothing but your time, and you don't have to worry about sear grinding or the like. Cure the biggest problem first IMHO. The DIY is strong in me.:)
