Hello there, could anyone be of assistance to me&tell me what repeating 10&16 guage shotguns are still being manufactured at present and on the market today. Also what manufacturers are the best buys,in personal opinions.Much appreciated folks,as I can't wait to get a bruised shoulder, lol.

No pump or auto 16's at present, AFAIK. The Remington SP-10, Browning BPS and Browning Gold auto are the only 10's I can think of. All are good guns, none come cheap. SP-10's are close to a grand.

Thanks, yes as I thought so.I saw the Ithaca 10 guage on youtube sometime ago& I thought to myself,'thats one for the future'.I shall research those Browning models&thanks again.

MachIVshooter covered it pretty well, not much I can add except, I own both a BPS10 and a Remington SP-10. The BPS for about 20 years and the SP-10 for the last 2 seasons. My BPS could be a poster child for reliability and the SP-10 is off to a good start. Also it's a lot easier on the shoulder. I had the BPS camo-clad a few years ago it started life as black synthetic.

I'm sold on the Browning Gold Lite model, put a ton of rounds thru the steel model and bought a "lite" or aluminum receiver in 2001.
Since I reload, it was the most used for anything other than dove/quail for these years since.
I did own a BPS with a 30" for geese, but the 26" on the Gold Lite works great for geese. Doesn't beat you to death either.
I know little about the Remington/Ithaca model - they are very similar.
I have decided the 26" barrel is the way for me, and reloading is a must.
Gas operated is the ONLY option I want !

Browning makes both BPS shotguns in 10 and 16 gauge. They also along with remington make an automatic too. Almost every pump has no reliability problems (especially from Browning) not sure about the automatics though.

I've had a Browning Gold 10 Stalker for.... somewhere around 15 plus years. Very versatile, be it in open water or timber, open fields, etc. It swings well (28" bbl), points well, and being a gas operated is far more forgiving than the BPS 10 on long shooting days.

I've used it on ducks, geese, and deer.

sterling180, does the UK have any restrictions on lead shot for fowl?

I had an Ithaca Mag 10 (which morphed into the Remington SP10) and it was too heavy. I had three BPSs, and not one ever missed a beat. I had the last one lightened significantly. But I never really liked the bottom loading, at all. I would try a Browning 10 semi auto before anything else based on the weight and the fact it's a gas autoloader.

If I get a repeater, it'll be a Browning BPS. They're not exorbitantly expensive and they work. I absolutely LOVE the ergos on the browning, being a lefty and preferring the tang safety. They also seem to fit me well. My buddy has one and bought his boy one for Christmas. He has a considerably larger amount of money than I do, LOL. I'm currently shooting a single barrel H&R 10 gauge turkey with a modified choke in it for shooting heavy T shot goose loads. It does the job on high flying geese for me and the pattern is simply amazing, best pattern I've ever gotten out of a shotgun at 40 yards, over 90 percent into 30". Typically only 4 or 5 pellets out of 85 will be outside the circle and not that far outside. I'm not in a big hurry to get another 10 for that reason.
