Yep, I shoot that in my Scout and my 453 Varmint. The CZ's love 'em, and they are inexpensive.

Thanks, Clayne. Been thinking hard about getting one of these CZs. I currently have a Savage MkII BTVS that I like, but it took a lot of work to get it right.

It came very wrong, and before I touched it, I called Savage. They refused to make their mistake wrong without lots of shipping $$$ on my part. Long story, but I fixed the problems myself and will not own another Savage due to their customer service.

It's a shame too. They are making even better stuff now, and one nasty lady in their Canadian office (where they make rimfires) who was on "customer support" that day ruined a lifetime of potential sales to at least one client. Que sera.

Anyway, what can you tell me about the CZ? I'll be getting a lefty -- is yours well made? How is fit? Have you been in it, and if so, how does the sear etc look? If you can see a casting line, are the halves of the casting matched up? (The Savage's weren't.)

How is the trigger pull?

Any idiosyncrasies you've noticed that are unique to the CZ?

Regards,

Josh

Good shooting!

I RO'd a 3 gun match this past weekend and got to see a lot of competitors run through some stages. A couple of times I saw the vapor trail from the .223 ARs as the competitors shot at 160 yard targets and I couldn't believe that my eyes were actually able to pick it up for such a short distance. I was also able to see some of the pistol bullets mid-flight as competitors were shooting a plate rack... It was weird to say the least, my eyes have never been that good.

I have ZERO complaints about my cz. fit and finish were top notch. Trigger is pretty good right out of the box, I did a Yo Dave tirgger kit. Like $20 and have it set at 8oz. I have not noticed any casting lines.

I have around 30k rounds threw this rifle, and have had one misfire! When me and my friends shoot and they have misfires. "duds" the get put in a cup and then I shoot them all at the end of the day. It was one of them that did not fire.

It shoots any and all ammo quite well. My ammo of choice is CCI standard velocity. reasonably priced and on a "good day" I have shot a few 5 shot groups under an inch at 100 yards

I can see .22 L.R. bullets "drop" into target when shooting a 50yds. off bench using 10X Lyman Jr. Targetspot.
