I have the 10FP with the choate stock. The stock is not that great. I may sell it and buy a different one. Anyone have an opinion about which stock is better? What about the ones available at savageshooters?

I have a 10FP LE1 standard (with the plain black synthetic stock) the Choate pistol grip stock would be a step up from that one, and Savage also has a McMillan I believe.

I"ve read good things on the Stock from Sharpshootersupply, I hear Bell and Carlson makes a good one also.

I do admit the plain stock is kinda so-so :uhoh:

If you're looking to get rid of the Choate pistol grip one, I may be willing to take it off your hands :)

What part of the country are you in ? If you're anywhere near me I'd be happy to let you try mine with the Bell and Carlson stock........

I replaced my factory stock on my 10FP-LE1 standard with a B&C from Midway, $125 shipped. I don’t think it is a nice as the ones from SSS, but it will do. It appears to be a good stock for the money.

I've got both the SSS and the B&C. The SSS is definately stiffer than the B&C and better for bench shooting. Looks great too. But I also love my B&C stock as that is on my hiking/varmint gun. It is much stiffer than the tuperware job and has a nicer grippy finish. Both are excellent upgrades.
