10mm fans -- thoughts on the EAA Witness?

I would recommend at least the Elite Match and not bother with the Witness base models. The Elite and other models are built in the Tanfoglio custom shop and have a different heavier slide than the base model Witness that have had problems with fractures. I have the Elite Match and it's a nice pistol.
Of course your mileage may vary depending on if you will be shooting factory ammo or handloading the heavier loads. The ammo that is out there in standard loadings probably won't be a problem for base model Witness. I would probably not use the hotter ammo from the makers of Buffalo Bore and the like or limit it when you would be in a situation where you need it. A steady diet of it would not be recommended. I would also change the recoil spring to a 20Lb rated spring from Wolff or similar at a minimum.
