Anyone here have an EAA/Tanfoglio pistol and any comments on reliability and accuracy? Specifically I'm looking at the Witness Match, duotone full size in 10mm. Are the internals interchangeable with CZ parts? Did a prior search and seemed like one guy (Grayrider I think) seemed to own several EAA's. Thanks for any input.

I've got a Witness Match in 10mm.

When I picked it up from the dealer, the magazine seemed to only hold 10 rounds and I put 20 rounds through the gun with a failure to feed around the 3rd round both times. Did a little research and found a post where someone had the same problem. I took the mag apart, cleaned it as well as lightly sanded the edges of the follower, put a light coating of oil and reassembled the mag. This time I could get all 15 rounds in without a problem. Took the gun back to the range about 2 weeks later with 3 additional new mags I had just purchased and was able to put 100 rounds down range without any issues at all.

The gun seems very well built. The fit and finish on mine was excellant and it has a sweet trigger. The gun feels great in my hand and it was pretty accurate. I was able to keep my groupings nice and tight. I was very surprised with my Match considering how inexpensive ($430 OTD) it was and not having owned a Tangfolio before.

The only issue I had after my range session is that I noticed the front site set screw was backing out and needed tightening. Other than that this one is definitely a keeper.

I was impressed enough that I ordered the Witness Fullsized 10mm in Wonderfinish today to do a comparison between the two. Also to add another 10mm to my collection! :)

I have a Witness Carry-Comp in 45acp. It has run flawlessly since I bought it used. I'm sort of a bottom feeder and when I found it in the shop for cheap I jumped on it and couldn't be more pleased.
While I'm not as good a pistol shot as I'd like to be, I cant blame my guns. It's the combination of my poor eye sight and lack of practice.
That being said I can shoot my Witness more accurately than my Gold Cup. The funny thing is I also shoot my Springer WWII (with those tiny GI sights)better than my Gold Cup too.
The only draw back is that there are few accessories for Witnesses. Even less for them in 45acp.
I don't think parts will intechange.
Search Grayrider. He has a link in his profile here to the CZ Clone forum.

I like Witnesses

they are rather unpolished at times (Lemony). The match is supposedly done by Tanfoglio's custom shop, so it is probably good. If EAA has had anything to do with the customization, I wouldn't buy it. Be warned that EAA is probably the ultimate in customer disservice (and if you need warranty service, forget it!). That being said the Tanfoglio is an excellent pistol, EAA just sucks.

Most Cz parts will not interchange.
Some of the springs will; Extractor spring, sear spring, mag springs. The recoil springs are somewhat interchangeable. The match is a longslide is it not, so it has perhaps a different recoil spring.
You can use the EGW sears in both (by disabling the firing pin safety in both).

I have a witness silver team, with a aimpoint red dot on top, talk about a joy to shoot no ftf, and very accurate.
