I have seen a lot the threads on this. I have to ask if 400.00$ is a good deal for a 29 about a year or so old - he claims about 1K rounds through it?

I have the following questions:

1. What is considered the optimum defense round?
2. How bad is the kick?
3. Is this realistic as a CCW?

That's a very good price if the gun has been well-cared for.

I like PMC's 170 grain JHP load, and so does my model 29.

I think it is a very easy gun to carry, if you use a good holster/belt combo.

Here's mine in its very own Milt Sparks Summer Special holster.

yeah its a great price if its in good condition. Recently i passed up a G29 at gander mountain for 375. A week or so later when i decided it would be stupid to do so, it was gone.

take note of 165 golddot

All of these tests were done using 10% ballistic gelatin provided by Vyse gelatin using all FBI protocols and 4 layers of denim and two layers of light cotton T-shirt in front of the gelatin.
