10XX Barrels from Bar-Sto

I have been in contact with Bar-Sto Barrels for a run of barrels for the S&W 10XX series of pistols. They no longer regularly produce barrels for S&W pistols, but will do so if certain criteria are met.

Because of the difficuly of trying to do this on too many forums, I am working this on 10mmtalk.com, where it originated, in the "Out-of-Production" forum, posting entitled "REPLY FROM BAR-STO BARRELS"

What's wrong with the factory barrels? They're not unsupported like Glock.

I guess I just don't really understand why we would need an aftermarket company to produce barrels for a pistol that is unlikely to ever need a replacement unit.
