Git your butt back in here!
You want something?
Lady [strike] stole [/strike] bought this gun right. It cost her a steak dinner and homemade brownies.
Grandpa's gun, and this granddaughter put on the charm and worked him over good.
Grandpa seemed to have enjoyed all this btw.
Actually Grandma's gun to be technical. Grandpa just got to shoot it when Grandma let him.
They both shot skeet, bird hunted, small game hunted, deer hunted with this gun.
It also stayed loaded for serious situation duty, and once the fellows that escaped from Prison, stayed "right there" until Sheriff and Prison folks showed up to offer these gentleman a ride to the Graybar Hotel.
It also come with an extra stock, Grandpa bought for some reason, he said he forgot why. "I think I just thought "why not?" and figured it would not hurt to have an extra stock".
Gun runs, always had. It has won skeet and 5 stand tourney's in their classes.
So Granddaughter and the other ladies have been shooting this gun a lot.
Pattern board work, Grandpa's old recipes, new shells and what not.
I had no idea what barrel I was shooting when I shot the Brenneke, it was later I was told "IC".
That set of fixed choked barrels,
all shoot super patterns!
[I told them they would]
It does the same with #3 buckshot and slugs...oh dear me, this gun shoot slugs like you would not believe!
With any of the 3 barrels.
More than likely, she will just keep the fixed IC barrel on it all the time, as It will be used for serious use for home/property.
This one has a bit more "character" than the other two barrels.
She does not know it yet, there is a Full and 3 more of the fixed barrels she has already.
My idea for grandpa to get some more homemade dinners and desserts by stretching this "working grandpa out of stuff".
Bone stock - with extra trigger group, recoil spring, factory butt pads and other parts.
Except.
The gun does have Pacmayer Decelarator recoil pad(s) as Grandparents liked the way it mounted to face from low gun better with these pads and "looks real nice".
Mid beads on all barrels.
Grandpa figures this gun has about 100k rounds through it. Never messed up, always run, still running.
Four months ago this granddaughter could not hit the inside of a 55 gal drum standing in it.
Just never got into shotguns.
So, we assisted her.
She shot her first straight [25/25] and Grandpa darn near missed shooting her hat with his chest all puffed out.
Then she was just out "piddling" using up some shells reloaded about 3 times too many times already and run 115 straight, she run out of shells.
Grandpa asked if she wanted to keep going, he would find more shells.
Folks volunteered shells.
"Nope, thank you though. I'm good"
- she said about 3 feet off the ground and doing a really poor job of hiding excitement.
We nailed that hat of hers but good!
Poor Girl, grandpa said she would have to put up with him , by going with to Europe with him this summer to get "considered" for the 12, 28, and .410 matching guns.
He is footing the whole bit...she is the only grandkid.
"I can fake it, I can *sigh* suffer through this if I have to" - she said.
Neither one of them can lie worth a flip.
