    Hi all:

I just got a Remington SPR94 over/under combo gun in 12 gauge and. 223. I'm wanting to mount a Nikon shotgun scope on it.

The gun comes with an integral 11mm base. I'm not familiar with these but after searching for some rings, it looks like 11mm are primarily found on .22s or airguns.

    Will these rings work?http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/32421

What should I do? I obviously need something that will hold up to shooting slugs out of the shotgun.

    Thanks for your help!

RC: your input is greatly appreciated. I'm open to running whatever will work best (meaning hold firm under any recoil the gun will see, so 3" slug I guess).

Are the CZs up to the job?

I'm hesitant about using air rifle stuff on a shotgun, but for 11mm that is just about all I can find. But if you say it's up to snuff, I'll run with it...

I'm with you on the add'l clamping force of the full-length mount. I need to measure the rail and see how much I have to work with. I'm thinking about 3.5" is it.

This model is drop-compensated, which may be helpful in this application:

This one is as well, but requires a much smaller clamping area: http://www.bkltech.com/BKL-4-inch-Long-Cantilver-Dovetail-Mount-p/bkl-254d7.htm

Wondering of just those two screws would hold on that cantilever model?

Believe it or not, spring piston air-rifles break scopes that don't break on centerfire rifles.

The recoil isn't as much, but the impact of the spring piston sets up reverse direction recoil.

So air rifle scope rings have a hard time staying where you put them too.

I'd go for more clamping area with an air-rifle mount if you have enough room on the rail.

    Those should work fine too.
