Anyone tried to mimick the hornaday 12 gauge sabot slug hunting rounds. i know the bullets are sw 500 handgun bullets but the rest is a mystery to me. curious to see if anyone successfully done it?

Thanks, rc!
I have a Sabot Slug Barrel (rifled) and all manner of brands and types of saboted slugs I bought but haven't had the time (or the 'shoulder') to sight them in to see which are the tightest groups. I presume they will all shoot pretty much right on out to about 75 yards or so. If the shot is beyond 100 yards, I won't take it unless I am resting on something and have plenty of time to squeeze off the shot!

IOW, a Bang-Flop type of shot!

i checked that sight, and read reviews of the product from midway, CTD it seems like folks are having problems shooting the 300gr. slugs with them, also they seem to have issues through the ported slug barrels in the mossbergs, which i have. apparently it tends to rip a petal or two off as it passes the ports, resulting in inconsistent paterns.

any other options or simply wait till another product becomes available.
