My sincerest apologies to the board. For the last several years we have had bi-annual rallies at Camp Millstone-a 4-H shooting sports summer camp. This fall we opened it to several websites and renamed it a Gathering. Fri-1st session of a foraging class-preventive maintenance on autos,lunch,turkey shoot,200 yd accuracy and pistol shoot also-reloading session after Dutch Oven Cooking competion and joint meal. Sat--2ond session of foraging class, surviving a nuclear disaster, lunch, emergency auto repairs/BOBs, BBQ, auction/awards/recognitions/gate prizes. Range is open 24 hrs and canoes come with the weekend. @ $15 per night it is a good deal. It is invitation only so let me know asap or can answer ?s at 704-221-1495. Cabins have electricity and the showers are hot. Some will be tenting and camper-ing it. Hope to see several there from here. Will have name tags this year so no one will feel like a stranger-you will not be. Again, sorry for not posting this much much earlier but let me know asap so supplies can be picked up. Some of the cabins are already spoken for because of children or physical needs but the rest are first come first chosen. They sleep 8 with two bunks outside if needed making them 10. All you need is bedding, soap(please-lol)towel and a desire to have fun/fellowship/learn/share. All meals except two are on your own but we generally eat together in the dining hall. Friday evening and Sat morn are Dutch Oven meals--we all need practice. There will be a "cooter"( snapping turtle) cleaning demonstration Sat morn during the foraging class.
